    Women's ice hockey - Canada v USA

10 teams are involved in the women's ice hockey, split into two groups of five.

All of the teams from Group A - including USA and Canada - automatically qualify for the quarter-finals, with matches determining their seeding for the last eight.

They are joined by three teams from Group B, with Sweden, Germany, and Italy progressing from that group.

Teams are awarded three points for a win, two points for an overtime win, and one point for an overtime loss.

Matches last 60 minutes and are split into three 20-minute periods.

Also through to the free skate is Petr Gummenik, a Russian skater competing under the neutral flag.

A BBC investigation has found links between Gummenik and activity in Russia supportive of their aggression in Ukraine.

Gumennik has recently worked with and been coached by Ilya Averbukh, who has been sanctioned by Ukraine. Averbukh has held the role of 'Crimea's ambassador for sport', taken part in events in numerous occupied territories and staged performances for families of Russian soldiers.

Gummenik did not respond to BBC Sport's request for comment.

Women's ice hockey - Canada vs USA

It's crunch time in the women's ice hockey with Olympic champions Canada taking on world champions USA in what's expected to be a dress rehearsal of the gold medal match.

Canada, who sit second in Group A after winning their opening two matches, beat USA 3-2 in the final in Beijing four years ago.

But USA, unbeaten after three matches and top of Group A, completed a 4-3 (OT) win over Canada at the 2025 World Championships and swept the most recent series between the two sides 4-0.

Only one team can maintain their 100% record at the 2026 Games tonight. Thumbs up if you think it will be Canada and thumbs down for USA.

Puck drop is at 19:10 GMT.

    Ski jumping - mixed team

It has all gone quiet at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium in Val di Fiemme...

There is usually a bit of a break in action between the first round and final round in this event, so it's nothing to worry about!

I've just caught a glimpse of our first female jumpers, who are making their way back out on to the slope.

In the final round, the first group will start in reverse order of the first-round team rankings - so Finland will be up first, followed by China and so on.

Thanks to later contenders getting lower scores, Maxim Naumov - competing 12 months after his parents were killed in a plane crash - has progressed to the men's free skate.

    A feel-good story for tonight.

    Ski jumping - mixed team

Everything is running as expected at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium, with the top five countries in the world progressing through to the final round of the mixed team ski jumping event in first gear.

Ren Nikaido produced a brilliant 103m fourth round jump to lift Japan up to second place in the overall standings.

But Domen Prevc - the best ski jumper of the season - was on hand to record an impressive 100m jump for defending Olympic champions Slovenia. He didn't make the podium in his individual event, but he will be hoping to make amends in this team event.

France, Italy, Poland and Romania have been knocked out, but here's the eight teams that have qualified for the final round:

    1. Slovenia - 526.9 points
    2. Japan - 517.2 points
    3. Norway - 510.8 points
    4. Germany - 502.1 points
    5. Austria - 497.6 points
    6. United States - 462.4 points
    7. China - 460.5 points
    8. Finland - 458.5 points

Those who watched the team event may have noticed Canada's Stephen Gogolev, one of the most dapper men on ice.

Gogolev dances to a medley of music from Prohibition-era America, and does so in a full three piece suit including pocketwatch.

Not only does Gogolev have style, he has ability - he has secured his place in the men's final with a short program score of 87.41.

    It's Sweden's gold!

The final stone for the United States doesn't fall where they want it, leaving two Swedish reds inside the house and a solitary American yellow.

The final Swedish throw knocks that US stone away, leaving their two in the house - that's two points and a 6-5 win!

It slides past the centre of the house.

The Swedish stone seems for a moment like it might knock a US stone closest to the point scoring centre, but the touch is light enough to ensure that doesn't happen.

The US send down their fourth stone powerfully, but after the ricochets there's still a Swedish red closest to the centre of the house.

Sweden call a time-out of their own, then Rasmus Wranaa slots a guard stone in above the house.

Another set of jumps are complete - and Slovenia are still sitting pretty at the top of the standings in the mixed team ski jumping event.

Nika Prevc, who is making her Winter Olympics debut this year and has already scooped up a silver medal in the women's normal hill event, deserves all the plaudits after her 97.5m first-round jump.

Defending Olympic champions Slovenia have opened up a slight gap on world champions Norway now, so here's a look at the current standings:

    1. Slovenia - 387.9 points
    2. Norway - 381.5 points
    3. Japan - 375.6 points
    4. Germany - 367.9 points
    5. Austria - 358.7 points

As a reminder, only the top eight teams will go through to the final round, with four teams knocked out, following this final group of first-round jumps.

It just feels like the momentum is with the USA a little bit.

Sweden need to stay calm and confident and keep doing what they have been doing. They can't let this atmosphere get to them.

Korey Dropkin drops his penultimate stone into the outer edge of the house, a third US stone positioned there, and revs up the crowd.

Sweden's pair knock two of them away with their final stone, but the USA reply by sending that solitary Swedish red out of the house.

Two US yellows = two points.

They now lead 5-4 going into the final end, and Sweden have the hammer.

Germany clinched second place in Group B with a 2-1 victory against hosts Italy.

Germany's Emily Nix cancelled out Justine Reyes opener midway through the second period before Laura Kluge scored the winner in the final 90 seconds of regulation time.

The result leaves Germany ranked seventh out of eight teams heading into the quarter-finals, where they will face the second-placed side in Group A.

Italy, ranked eighth, will face the Group A table toppers, with both matches taking place on 13 February.

    Ski jumping - mixed team

Slovenia are still holding on to their lead at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium, thanks to a huge 102m jump from Anze Lanisek.

The first group of men have officially completed their opening jumps of the evening now, with Norway's Kristoffer Sundal recording the biggest jump of the night so far at 104m.

The Norwegian got a really big spring off the end of the runner and held a good line through the air to keep pressure on at the top of the standings.

Here's how everything is looking after the second lot of jumps:

    1. Slovenia - 262.2 points
    2. Austria - 255.9 points
    3. Norway - 252.6 points
    4. Germany - 252.4 points
    5. Japan - 252.2 points

It's tight between third and fifth place at the moment, so let's see how much longer this tussle for podium spots continues...
