Luca Harrington knows he's bronze and Alex Hall knows he's silver and as it was yesterday in the women's with Mathilde Gremaud, it will be a victory lap for the gold medallist Birk Ruud.

The emotion is pouring out of Harrington.

Freestyle Skiing - Men's Freeski Slopestyle

I am by no means an expert in freeski slopestyle but they are having real problems out there in this final.

In between some standout clean runs, there are plenty of mistakes and falls.

Ben Ogden of the United States claims sprint classic silver.

The 25-year-old finished 12th in this event in 2022 so that's an impressive upgrade!

It was never in doubt was it?

He crosses the line in three minutes and 39.74 seocnds, almost slowing down when he knew the gold wa in the bag.

The man is a MACHINE. He now has seven Winter Olympic golds to his name - one behind the all-time record.

Luca Harrington has absolutely ripped the lid of this final now. We though maybe he'd bitten off more than he can chew but this is outrageously technical.

There were loud gasps from the packed crowd when defending champion Alex Hall came off that first rail. He’s not going to improve his score. Can he stay on the podium or will someone step up?

The flat light and warm conditions (relatively speaking) are not making it easy for anyone.

    Biathlon - men’s 20km

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport in Cortina

I’m here at the biathlon up in Anterselva, right up in the north of Italy on the border with Austria.

That means it’s actually less Italian here and more Austrian vibes. And the crowd are PUMPED.

    Tunes banging, crowd waving flags.

And the great news is, we have a Brit in action!

Jacques Jefferies won a world team title with France a few years ago but, with British parents, he opted to compete for the British biathlon team at the beginning of last season with Milan-Cortina on the horizon.

It’s the first time since 2014 we’ve had a British man involved in the biathlon at an Olympics so let’s see how he gets on.

Maja Dahlqvist finishes in third and leaves with bronze.

World champion Kristine Stavas Skistad finished in fifth, 29.42 later than gold medallist Linn Svahn. A disappointing day for the talented cross-country skier.

  16. Men's 20km biathlon under waypublished at 12:32 GMT 10 February

    Biathlon - men's 20km individual

The men's 20km biathlon has just started!

The athletes will start at 30-second intervals and they complete five laps of the course.

They stop at the shooting range at the end of each of the first four laps, adopting the prone - lying down - position on their first and third laps, while they stand to shoot on their second and fourth visit.

Each missed target means one minute added to a biathlete's overall time, so accuracy is key!
