Germany's Annika Morgan adds just over a point to her first-run score but is still behind leader Kokomo Murase.

Remember, it's only the best single-run score that counts for each competitor.

And it's now a Japan one-two! Mari Fukada registers 85.70 in her second run to move into gold medal position.

Bulgaria don't experience a clean shoot either and stay in second, with Germany moving up to first place.

Biathlon fan Jurgen Klopp is back for the women's relay, after ringing the final lap bell in the men's event yesterday.

As we come to the end of the first leg, Sweden lead from Bulgaria and Germany.

Camille Bened was not able to make up any positions after suffering a penalty - France remain 16th, over 50 seconds behind the leader.

Bened was selected ahead of Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, who featured in the world relay winning team last year but has struggled with her shooting at these Games.

They can, Conor, but each team only have one 'alternate'. In GB's case that's Kyle Waddell, who has sat in the box behind the rink for every game.

We're into run two of three in the women's slopestyle final. As with the first run, the competitors go down in the order they qualified.

Canada's Juliette Pelchat and Jess Perlmutter of the USA have improved their respective scores from their first runs but neither has disturbed the podium places.

    An early blow for France!

Camille Bened incurs a penalty and sees her side slip to 16th in the standings.

But the men's team also suffered the same fate yesterday and surged back to win.

A statement run from Zoi Sadowski Synnott... but an error on a rail costs her.

The Kiwi puts has to settle for third place after the first run with Kokomo Murase of Japan leading the way on 79.30.

Germany's Annika Morgan is second on 77.65, with Sadowski Synnott on 73.01.

Plenty of runs not landed so it could all change over the next two rounds before the medal are handed out.

Daniel Casper has lost his shape entirely here. I don't know how the 24-year-old comes back from three grave mistakes in three ends like that.

Don't forget, the Americans have an identical record to Team GB so are playing for a semi-final place here too.

In less positive news, the Italians are now 3-0 up. Looks like we're relying on Norway faltering. They do, at least, still trail Switzerland.

This is a huge lead for Great Britain, but they still have to keep calm. These guys are going to be fighting back with whatever they have got.

This is just the start they were looking for.

Team GB steal four to take massive lead in men's curling over USA

Oh my, Daniel Casper has made a horrible mess of that.

The US skip just needed to draw into the button to save one, but instead he overcooks it and can only watch in horror as it skites all the way through the house to gift GB four.

At this stage, that's almost an insurmountable lead...

So, Steve in Northamptonshire, as well as Alastair and Chelsea in London, are wondering how United States have had the hammer for three ends running.

It's quite simple, really. If you don't score in an end when you've got the hammer, you keep it for the next. And given the US didn't score in the first two...

Germany's Annika Morgan leads the way on 77.65 at the moment but the top qualifiers, including Zoi Sadowski Synnott, are still to come.

No really big scores as yet but conditions could be playing a part in that.
