Dimitrov knows that was a chance, but he can only power a volley into the top of the net from close range. Great in football, not so much in tennis, 15-15.

  7. 'I played the key moments well' - Fritzpublished at 20:01 BST 6 July

    Fritz 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 6-4 Bublik

American sixth seed Taylor Fritz is talking on court after beating Kazakhstani 10th seed Alexander Bublik in straight sets.

On his performance in the match: “I’m super happy with it. When I got my opportunities to break, I took them and when he had some service games and had some looks, I played really well to get myself out of those situations. When you have two big guys serving it can come down to key moments in the match and I thought I played them really well.”

On winning quickly: “It’s a big thing in the Grand Slam to get through the matches without killing yourself on the court. I had a tough one in the last round and it feels good to have a smooth one and I’ll be ready for the quarter-finals.”

On his next opponent Alexander Zverev or Jiri Lehecka: “I usually don’t watch too much but to be honest when I’m doing treatment on the table it will probably be on and I’ll probably watch a bit of it, but I know both guys pretty well.”

What remarkable composure from Arthur Fery, setting up that final volley and making no mistakes to prompt another eruption of deafening cheers from the Centre Court crowd.

That noise is taken up another notch soon after, as Fery returns to the court to try and finish this right here on Grigor Dimitrov's serve.

Hopefully it's coming across at home, but the atmosphere here is absolutely electric.

The pressure on Dimitrov is there for everybody to see.

Fery has done so well there. Great backhand down the line, heading down for the forehand volley. He knew anything over the net would be a winner.

A forehand from Dimitrov hits high up the net. That would've been for break point, but Fery then produces a volley after sending Dimitrov wide for the hold.

Fery is now one break of serve away from becoming only the sixth British man to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals in the Open Era.

The biggest game of his life coming up. Dimitrov must hold serve or it's all over. A huge roar from the Wimbledon crowd.

A lot of love between Taylor Fritz and Alexander Bublik as they hug at the net, both with a smile on their face.

Bublik takes his time walking off Court One, lapping up the appreciation of the crowd and reciprocating it by pounding his chest.
