The American sixth seed needed only one hour and 39 minutes to win inside three sets.

A groan from the crowd as Fery flicks a running forehand long, 15-30 on his serve. Alarm bells. Some huge points coming up.

It's kind of feels like this match needs a final set tie-breaker.

    I just love the drama.

  6. Fritz serving for matchpublished at 19:50 BST 6 July

    *Fritz 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 5-4 Bublik

Alexander Bublik is serving to stay in this fourth round match against American sixth seed Taylor Fritz.

He comes through with little resistance, although Fritz did nearly manage to pull off a between-the-legs shot from the back of the court, which would have been the shot of the tournament if it landed.

The Court One crowd is urging Bublik to get back into this but he's going to have to break Fritz right now to have any chance.

Alexander Bublik may be on the brink of defeat, but he's still bringing the entertainment and he calls for more noise from the crowd after landing a trademark underarm serve.

That was after Taylor Fritz had tried, and failed, with a tweener.

If this is the final game or two, at least they've made it fun for the Court One crowd.

Quite the dramatic Monday this is turning out to be!

Pretty sure I've just spotted Bear Grylls in the crowd. If not, it's a very strong lookalike.

No doubt he will have been mightily impressed by Arthur Fery's survival skills here.

The Briton whips up the crowd after edging back in front of this tense fifth set. What a show he is putting on for us.

Fery is also bidding to become the first British wildcard, man or woman, to reach the quarter-finals at a Grand Slam in the Open era.

This is only his 10th singles match in five Grand Slam tournaments.

Another fist pump from Arthur Fery as he holds to 30 to just nudge back in front. If he can break the Dimitrov serve in the next game he would then be serving for the match.

It's easy to see what Dimitrov is thinking after every point from his reaction.

I'd be taking Mr Fery in a poker game, he's more composed.

This time it is Grigor Dimitrov's turn to try to fire himself up with a few "come on, come on" shouts at himself. It comes after he holds for 3-3 after Fery could only pull a two-handed backhand wide. That had come after Dimitrov could only fire into the net from close in, but it didn't prove costly.

This is one of those magical stories of resilience. Arthur Fery could've easily been out in the last round but he's looking for new territory.

This could be very special. We talked about his confidence and swagger. He's shown supreme confidence and that in itself is something special.

A two-handed backhand from Dimitrov flies wide and the frustration is beginning to show from the former world number three, who screams out in anguish.

Fery pounces on that with a fine winner shortly after to take another hold. A raised fist as he walks back to his chair. The Briton nudges back ahead, 3-2 on serve in the decider. This has been some match.

There is still another men's last-16 tie to come as Jiri Lehecka versus Alexander Zverev will follow on Centre Court.

After a very early morning for sports fans, it is going to be a late night too.

This is highly entertaining stuff, topsy turvy.

  17. Fritz breaks in third setpublished at 19:34 BST 6 July

    Fritz 7-6 6-4 3-1 Bublik*

Taylor Fritz has broken in the third set and it's a mountain to climb for Alexander Bublik from here.

The Kazakhstani 10th seed has rarely threatened Fritz's serve and with the American serving so well, it's difficult to see that changing.

Grigor Dimitrov knows he should be back in the locker room with a win next to his name. An angry looking swipe from one baseline finds the opposing baseline for a superb winner. That is followed by an ace for a hold to love. No celebration, no emotion just on to the next one. Two-two in the decider. It's anyone's match.

The match felt like it was getting away from Arthur Fery but he's showed great resilience.

There's a lot of energy out on the court right now but tension from Dimitrov.

Arthur Fery has nothing to lose and everything to gain here.
