See how straight the shoulders are on De Minaur when he serves. There's no rotation, he's not able to get behind the ball.

That's becoming a big issue for me because he's not able to get a big variety of spin. When he's off, it's really poor, his first serves in are less than 50%.

It's really hard to win a game when your service game is that low.

Alex Eala lets out a relieved roar and punches her fists as she manages to hold after opening her service game with an an awful double fault.

It's worth mentioning the heavy strapping around her right leg and her left hitting arm. She's said the one on her leg is a preventative measure and she had it on during her win over Swiatek, but there's definitely more of a substantial bandage around her arm now.

Hopefully it's nothing to be too concerned about.

The number of unforced errors from De Minaur - 12 - that's a worry for me.

Cobolli is just a little bigger off both wings which is really making that difference.

  6. Eala holdspublished at 14:02 BST 6 July

    *Paolini 4-2 Eala

Alexandra Eala is struggling at the moment and the crowd try to get behind her after a double fault gives Jasmine Paolini an opening at 15-30.

The 21-year-old from the Philippines wins the next point and seems to take confidence from that, winning the two that follow to secure the hold.

There's a shout of celebration. Eala needed that.

    *De Minaur 5-7 0-0 Cobolli

That 39-shot rally in the last game between Alex de Minaur and Flavio Cobolli was the longest rally of the tournament so far.

    Wowzers.

    *De Minaur 5-7 0-0 Cobolli

Can Flavio Cobolli follow up the first break of the match so far?

That's a good start as he gets the better of a monster 39-shot rally, with Alex de Minaur sending a backhand long.

Cobolli roars in celebration, before seeing out the rest of the game to win the first set.

  9. Paolini holdspublished at 13:58 BST 6 July

    Paolini 4-1 Eala*

Jasmine Paolini is slight in stature but she really packs a punch.

She's really taking it to Alexandra Eala and is overpowering the 29th seed at the moment.

A good turn of pace and a smart volley at the net wraps up another comfortable hold. This is reminiscent of Paolini in her run to the final a couple of years ago.

  10. Cobolli 'struck when it's counted'published at 13:55 BST 6 July

    De Minaur 5-6 Cobolli*

    Todd Woodbridge

De Minaur had the earlier chances but he didn't do enough with them. Cobolli has just held on and has struck when it's counted.

I like the way Cobolli has been able to play within himself and rise for the big points. That's a new part of his game, confidence helps him with that.

    *Paolini 3-1 Eala

Jasmine Paolini hits a forehandImage source, PA Media

Jasmine Paolini is jumping on Alexandra Eala's second serve at every opportunity - and that's allowing her to take control of these rallies early.

After smoking a forehand winner down the line, the Italian comes to the net to hit another to bring up two break points.

She converts the second. It's another second serve, quicker this time from Eala, but a superb return from Paolini and she is able to advance to the net to finish the point with her next shot.

  12. Cobolli breakspublished at 13:53 BST 6 July

    De Minaur 5-6 Cobolli*

Another break point for Flavio Cobolli and he makes it count with a strong return which Alex de Minaur can only plant into the net.

The Italian applied the pressure that game and eventually caused De Minaur to crack.

    *De Minaur 5-5 Cobolli

Some pressure on Alex de Minaur's serve as Flavio Cobolli forces an error to get to 0-30.

De Minaur then cracks a forehand long to offer three break points to the Italian and the biggest opportunity of the match so far.

De Minaur does brilliantly to save all three, taking the game to deuce with an unplayable forehand winner.

What a time to play your best tennis.

    *De Minaur 5-5 Cobolli

    Harry Poole
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

The temperature is beginning to rise again in SW19.

After near-perfect conditions during the opening week, the temperature is climbing back above 30C for week two and we could be pushing the mid-30s by the middle of the week.

So, anyone out playing in the midday heat will want to try to get their matches won as efficiently as possible.

On the evidence so far, this doesn't look likely to be a quick one for either Alex de Minaur or Flavio Cobolli.

The Australian fifth seed De Minaur and Italy's ninth seed Cobolli look very equally matched so far - Cobolli forcing the only break point opportunity - and they continue to remain on serve deep into the opening set.

This could be a long one, which could be great news for the victorious wildcard when Briton Arthur Fery faces Grigor Dimitrov a little later...

    *De Minaur 5-5 Cobolli

It's been an interesting set, not the quality I was expecting. There's been some good moments but both of them have struggled to play back too back quality points.

I think part of it is to do with the respect that they have for each other. Possibly a bit of nerves in this big match.

That's right, Roger Federer is in the Royal Box. The eight-time Wimbledon winner is sat next to All England Club chair Debbie Jevans, looking as elegant as ever in a brown suit.

Alex Eala came through the Rafael Nadal Academy, but Jasmine Paolini has previously said she was a huge Federer fan, so he might have a soft spot for the Italian today given his era-defining rivalry with Nadal.

    *De Minaur 5-5 Cobolli

Flavio Cobolli follows up a first serve by stepping inside the court and whipping over a lovely forehand.

He drifts a backhand into the net on the next point but makes amends with his first ace of the match to hold.

  18. Paolini holds to lovepublished at 13:48 BST 6 July

    Paolini 2-1 Eala*

A confident start from Jasmine Paolini.

The Italian 13th seed is striking the ball nicely and breezes through her latest service game.

  19. Eala holdspublished at 13:47 BST 6 July

    *Paolini 1-1 Eala

Under pressure at 0-30 after a double fault to start, Alexandra Eala shows the composure we've seen from her all tournament to battle back to hold.

Jasmine Paolini will be ruing a forehand pushed wide at 15-30 with half the court to aim at. A missed opportunity and it stays on serve.

  20. De Minaur 'one of the fastest'published at 13:46 BST 6 July

    De Minaur 5-4 Cobolli*

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC Two

Have a look at the quality of De Minaur, he's one of the fastest in the game. The recovery step is what's so impressive at the moment. It's the recovery and the set up for the next shot, it's so crucial.

As soon as the ball is going over the net, he's racing to get back in that neutral position. He's one of the best I've ever seen in the game at that reset.
