    *Dimitrov 5-7 1-1 Fery

That was his first real test of danger and Arthur Fery navigates it well, fending off two break points, including a fine stretching volley close to the net, but controlling it nicely for a lovely winner.

Fery saves two break points, with Dimitrov's looping sliced backhand drifting wide of the mark. The danger is still there though at deuce.

  3. Keys breaks backpublished at 17:13 BST 6 July

    *Keys 4-6 2-3 Noskova

Madison Keys breaks back but she is given a huge helping hand by Linda Noskova.

The Czech double-faults four times in the game, the fourth handing it to Keys, having only doubled once prior in the match.

Just as with Keys crumbling late in the first, that came completely out of the blue. Back on serve in the second set.

Just as the first set began, Grigor Dimitrov starts off the second with a fine service hold, taking it to 15 to get an early lead.

But no need for Fery or British fans to worry just yet, as we know how the first set panned out.

    What a noise!

Arthur Fery has his first set on Centre Court, an arena he dreamed of playing in as he grew up a short walk from the All England Club.

Former world number three Grigor Dimitrov looked so comfortable on serve at the start of this match.

But Fery, as he knew he must coming into this, seized his big opportunity to make a quite brilliant start here.

He shakes a clenched fist and the crowd rise to their feet to cheer him all the way to his seat.

Dimitrov got tight, looked like he was feeling the pressure and the expectation of himself and others. He just kind of choked up at the end of the set.

    Dimitrov 5-7 Fery

Grigor Dimitrov and Arthur Fery are aiming to become the fifth wildcard in the Open Era to reach the men's singles quarter-finals at Wimbledon and the 11th in that period to reach the men's singles quarter-finals at a Grand Slam.

The winner will also become the first player ranked outside the top 100 to reach the last eight of the men's singles here since Australia's Nick Kyrgios (144th) in 2014.

Dimitrov won his only previous match against a British player at Wimbledon, defeating Andy Murray in the quarter-finals here in 2014 - and he will hope to disappoint the home crowd again this afternoon.

  9. Game and first set - Ferypublished at 17:07 BST 6 July

Dimitrov at the net punches down a passing attempt from Fery on the first of the two set points.

But it does not matter as Fery's next first serve is excellent out wide, Dimitrov can only send the return into the bottom of the net and the Briton grabs the first set.

What a start after failing to win a point in Dimitrov's opening four service games. Get comfortable, this could be a special few hours.

  10. Set points Ferypublished at 17:05 BST 6 July

    Dimitrov 5-6 Fery*

Arthur Fery is one point from winning the first set, 40-15 as a one-handed backhand is wild and long from Dimitrov. Two set points for the young Briton.

Dimitrov is sweating in more ways than one. Fery's backhand is rock solid, he hits it really well.

He can inject pace really well and his timing is so good, exquisite.

Was lucky enough to be sat on Court 18 for all four and a half hours of Fery's third-round win. Showed incredible heart and tenacity to fight back, never looked like winning it until he did. Needs the crowd on side again today, but I have faith - All Aboard the Fery! TOOT!

    Dimitrov 5-6 Fery*

He did not win a point in Dimitrov's first four service games, but now he wins four in a row in the sixth, including a brilliant return on the opening break point of the match.

Fery now serving for the opening set. On Centre Court. Against the former world number three. In the last 16 at Wimbledon. Stuff of dreams territory. Can he get the job done?

    *Dimitrov 5-5 Fery

"Come on," is the little cry from Arthur Fery as Dimitrov goes long with a return for another decent hold of serve, to 15 when he was serving to save the set.

Five-five. If Fery can break in the next game he would then be serving for the first set.

Linda Noskova is a set up and now she's broken early in the second.

A powerful forehand down the line is too hot to handle for Madison Keys at the end of a lengthy service game.

The Czech ninth seed is in control after holding to consolidate the break, and Keys will be wondering how this has happened so quickly. She had looked comfortable for much of the first set.

  17. How will hot weather impact conditions?published at 16:57 BST 6 July

We've had a question in from Kyle in Liverpool about the playing conditions in the hot weather:

With the weather being so hot, it will impact on the grass and it will be firmer. Does this favour players who play deeper into the court and will players have to adjust their game plan to what they maybe came into Wimbledon with?

We put the question to the tennis experts at Hawk-Eye... this is what they said:

When there is sun on the court, the grass will get hotter. This means that the court will produce higher bounces as there is less moisture. Ultimately, this may help a player who likes to sit slightly deeper on the court or a classic hard-court player. However, it can also help a fast server as the ball will retain more speed post-bounce and travel quicker through the air as air density is reduced. A five degree increase in temperature would decrease air density by approximately 2%.

    Dimitrov 5-4 Fery*

A big cheer from the Wimbledon crowd as, in Dimitrov's fifth service game, Fery finally picks up a first point off his opponent's serve.

The second is not far behind after Fery moved to the net to pile on a bit of pressure.

But from 15-30 down, Dimitrov sends down a few vital first serves to get himself out of a bit of bother. Fery will now be serving to keep the opening set going.

The Hill is packed out and it is glorious sunshine and a Brit is keeping everyone hopeful.

A first shout of "Come on England!" can be heard on Centre Court after several fans take the chance between games to offer Arthur Fery some more encouragement. It gets a few laughs, but everyone is very much focused on keeping home hopes alive at Wimbledon for these next few hours.

There are huge gasps as Fery frames a forehand into the air, and again when he nets to bring Dimitrov to deuce - but they're quickly replaced by loud cheers as the Briton digs in to hold.
