  1. Andreeva breaks backpublished at 18:04 BST 1 July

    Krejcikova 4-6 5-4 Andreeva*

Unforced errors come at a bad time for Barbora Krejcikova as her backhand finds the net, before a double fault offers Mirra Andreeva three break points.

The Czech saves two but Andreeva makes the third one count as she forces Krejcikova into a mistake.

Did the pressure of serving for the second set get to Krejcikova there?

  2. Andreeva has 'lost her way a little bit'published at 17:59 BST 1 July

We have seen far more errors in this set from Andreeva, more so on her backhand. You can see difference between quality of her backhand in the first and the second sets.

She isn't finding the depth and the backhand down the line, which was hurting Krejcikova.

She has lost her way a little bit.

  3. Andreeva holdspublished at 17:59 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 5-3 Andreeva

That's better from Mirra Andreeva as she works her way to 40-0 with Barbora Krejcikova unable to turn the points into rallies.

Andreeva seals the hold as Krejcikova spoons another return wide.

Krejcikova will now serve for the second set.

  5. Krejcikova holdspublished at 17:56 BST 1 July

    Krejcikova 4-6 5-2 Andreeva*

Barbora Krejcikova works through another game and she is now one away from levelling the match and taking this to a deciding set.

It has not been the Mirra Andreeva so far which we saw in the first set.

  6. Krejcikova 'looking solid'published at 17:52 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 4-2 Andreeva

    Eugenie Bouchard
Former Canadian tennis player on BBC Two

A little but unexpected [this turnaround] after losing a few games in a row in that first set.

Fitness-wise wise she is looking solid. Physically looking good, it doesn't look to be a weakness of hers here today.

  7. Andreeva holdspublished at 17:52 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 4-2 Andreeva

Mirra Andreeva isn't landing the shots she was making earlier and a couple of wayward strokes offer Barbora Krejcikova a way into the game.

We go to deuce on the Russian's serve again but she gathers herself to secure the hold as Krejcikova goes into the net.

  8. Game and first set - Pegulapublished at 17:51 BST 1 July

    *Pegula 7-6 (8-6) 0-0 Sorribes Tormo

Fourth seed Jessica Pegula had clinched a tight first set against Sara Sorribes Tormo, winning the tie-break 8-6.

Both players had their serves broken three times in an inconsistent opener but American Pegula held her nerve when presented with her only set point.

    "COME ON ENGLAND!"

Something you don't expect to hear at the tennis, but one man has earned himself a laugh from the crowd on Centre Court.

Mirra Andreeva isn't happy, though, and she smacks the ball into the sky after dropping serve.

Barbora Krejcikova has responded well to losing the first set where Mirra Andreeva played so well, and the Czech backs up her break in the previous game with a solid hold.

  11. 'Proud of myself'published at 17:47 BST 1 July

    Sierra 3-6 6-3 6-7 (7-10) Gauff

Coco Gauff, speaking after her tight three-set win over Solana Sierra: "I was just happy and proud of myself. Solana played a great match and was hitting some big shots, so felt like a lot of the time I was on the defensive, but overall just happy with my serve.

"It held up the whole match and helped me in the tie-breaker."

On how she fought back in the final set: "My coach always tells me 'remember who you are' and I think I have a high break percentage most times so when she served for the match I just reminded myself I'm a great returner as well.

"And I knew when I served, I think I saw my stats after the first or second set, I was like 92% first serves won, so I was just trying to be aggressive with my first serve and my second serves were good too.

"I was relaxed even though I was nervous most points in the match, I was just trying to be positive and I think that showed."

On it being seven years since she beat Venus Williams at Wimbledon: "It was very special. It was kind of like my breakout moment, playing against one of my idols was insane.

"Every time I walk down these hallways I get a bit of deja vu and think, if I could do that five years ago then I'm definitely a better player since then so I definitely can do it now. I have a lot of great memories here at Wimbledon and the crowd support was amazing.

"It is always an honour to play on these grounds. You feel like you play here a lot but when you look back you probably only play 11-12 times, so I just try to be grateful for it because one day I will be the one watching somebody my age playing and I will miss being out here."

  12. Krejcikova breakspublished at 17:45 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 3-1 Andreeva

Mirra Andreeva finds herself in a spot of bother but a strong first serve and some quick work at the net brings the Russian fifth seed level.

Andreeva is being put under some pressure at deuce and Barbora Krejcikova makes it count with a lovely forehand which wrongfoots the Russian and clips the baseline.

  13. Third seed Auger-Aliassime next up on Court Onepublished at 17:40 BST 1 July

Men's third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime will be on Court One shortly for his second-round tie against Croatia's Dino Prizmic.

The Canadian hasn't advanced beyond the second round at Wimbledon since reaching the quarter-finals in 2021 and warmed up for the third Slam of the year with last-eight defeats in 's-Hertogenbosch and Halle.

He beat Alexander Shevchenko in straight sets in round one.

20-year-old Prizmic, the world number 89, recovered from losing the opening set to beat Adam Walton in four sets on his Wimbledon main-draw debut.

  14. Krejcikova holdspublished at 17:37 BST 1 July

    Krejcikova 4-6 2-1 Andreeva*

That's better from Barbora Krejcikova as she punishes a return with a crisp forehand down the line.

The 2024 Wimbledon champion stutters with a backhand into the net but makes amends with a winner on the following point to hold.

  15. Andreeva holdspublished at 17:33 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 1-1 Andreeva

Barbora Krejcikova is making too many errors at the moment but Mirra Andreeva's superb defence is consistently making the Czech play extra shots.

The Russian fifth seed levels in the second set with a fine backhand winner across court.

  16. British pair made solid start to title defencepublished at 17:32 BST 1 July

    Navone/Vallejo 3-6 0-0 Cash/Glasspool*

British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool have started the defence of their Wimbledon men's doubles title on court five.

Seeded third this year, they've made a good start to their first-round match against Mariano Navone and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo, winning the first set 6-3.

  17. Osaka's outfit dazzles fans againpublished at 17:32 BST 1 July

Naomi Osaka was in fine form today as she sailed to a 6-3 6-2 win against Anastasia Gasanova.

Before that, she treated fans on court two to her latest pre-match outfit, which was again inspired by her home country Japan.

Dressed all in white again to comply with Wimbledon's dress code, Osaka wore a white jacket with floral decoration with material which trailed behind her.

“I took a trip to Japan one day, then obviously you go to Harajuku and you see everyone expressing themselves through clothes," said Osaka.

"I don’t really ever have a plan when it comes to clothes. I think it’s OK to try something and fail, but I’d rather just try it and see how it goes.”

    Sierra 3-6 6-3 6-7 (7-10) Gauff

Coco Gauff will face fellow American Claire Liu in the third round.

Qualifier Liu beat Turkey's Zeynep Sonmez in straight sets to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

  19. 'Unbelievable what that means to Gauff'published at 17:27 BST 1 July

    Sierra 3-6 6-3 6-7 (7-10) Gauff

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two

It is incredible for a two-time major champion to have that reaction after a second-round match. It is unbelievable what that means to Coco Gauff.

She's had difficulties on this surface, losing in the first round at Wimbledon last year and having not won a match on grass in a couple of years.

It will be a heartbreaker for Solana Sierra. She won't sleep for a couple of nights, her mum won't either.

  20. Game and first set Andreevapublished at 17:26 BST 1 July

    *Krejcikova 4-6 0-0 Andreeva

Mirra Andreeva is playing some lovely stuff now as she follows up a slicing drop shot with an ace, before winning the set with a backhand winner down the line.

The Russian fifth seed will be tough to beat if she keeps this up and she's showing why she is the reigning French Open champion.
