As a relatively new snooker fan, I'd love to see Stan take the win here. It's great to see a talented young player keeping the older generation on their toes.

With that blue Stan Moody should have left the ball up in the baulk area. He's so confident but when you look at that table you give your opponent a chance to come back to it. You never write a frame off.
Wilson 7-7 Moody
Stan Moody comes flying out of the blocks after the mid-session interval.
He is left with a tricky red in the middle pocket after breaking the pack open but manages to just about squeeze it in.
However, Moody misses an audacious blue after a break of 68 leaving Wilson requiring three snookers.
Somehow the 34-year-old gets them and is able to graft his way through a clearance, sealing the frame on the black.

Shaun Murphy heads into the mid-session interval with a two-frame advantage.
China's Fan Zhengyi had been well placed three points behind Murphy at 45-42 with just four of the colours left.
However, Fan fluffed a pot with the rest on the brown and Murphy duly cleared the next three balls to pinch the frame.

Kyren Wilson has the momentum and he will have wanted to stay out there because Stan Moody was reeling a little bit. That yellow into the middle pocket was difficult, but it was the choice of red before that which cost him. He took the easy pot.
Moody still looks good out there and he needs to think if he had been offered 7-6 at this point before the match started he would have taken it. He's feeling a bit of heat of the Crucible but has to take the positives.
Wilson 6-7 Moody
Kyren Wilson cruises through a break of 48 only to miss the black off the spot for a second time in the evening session.
Wilson sits down and shakes his head. Did the clapping from the other table distract him momentarily?
However, Stan Moody blunders on the yellow into the middle pocket allowing Wilson another visit and he makes no mistake this time to take the frame 75-15.
Moody began the session with a three-frame advantage but that has been chopped down to one heading into the mid-session interval.

I’ve a lot respect for Kyren Wilson, but Stan Moody is strutting around the table like a peacock in full display….and with a skill to back up the wonderful bravado. Well done young man.

The 25-year-old from China looks to have settled after two frames dominated by his opponent.

Since becoming champion two years ago, he has not won a match here as he lost 10-9 to Lei Peifan in the first round on the opening day of last year's tournament.
It has been a busy day in the press room with Barry Hearn holding a hugely entertaining news conference earlier on and Stan Moody is going to be the story, win or lose.
Moody, 19, is aiming to become the youngest player to win a match here since Ronnie O'Sullivan beat Dave Harold 10-3 in the opening round in 1995.

Kyren Wilson is showing his warrior qualities but I liked the way Stan Moody played on there. He dug in and kept in there. There's been a little momentum shift towards Wilson but a massive frame coming up.
Wilson 5-7 Moody
Kyren Wilson looks a lot more confident during the course of a break of 63.
Stan Moody takes the frame a little deeper, though, attempting to snooker Wilson on the final red.
There's a bit of cat and mouse on the red and, then the green, with Wilson fouling once before he seals the frame.

That was a massive frame for Kyren Wilson. He showed great character to pot that black under pressure. We know about Kyren's character but now we are going to find something about Stan Moody's.
Wilson 4-7 Moody
Kyren Wilson compiles a break of 30 but then rattles a black off the spot into the corner pocket. "He knows he cannot afford to do that," says Dennis Taylor on commentary.
After a break of 34 Stan Moody misses a red into the middle pocket with the table favourable for him. Moody hauls himself up to 65 before a difficult red rattles against the jaw of the corner pocket.
Wilson clears up the rest of the table and the black is re-spotted to decide for the frame.
A double kiss from Moody attempting to play a tough safety off the cushion leaves a long pot on for Wilson and he sinks it.

Some of the pots Stan Moody takes on are impressive. He's not shirking the big shots. He's continued to be positive. What I love about him is his first time here and he's embraced it. There's been no nerves and he looks like he's loving every moment.
