Finn Russell
Bath reduce their deficit almost immediately from the kick-off, with Finn Russell kicking a penalty from a identical position to his earlier three-pointer.
After an astonishingly successful 2024-25 season domestically and in the Challenge Cup, I'm sure all involved with Bath will want to take the next step and seriously compete for the biggest prize in Europe.
If they can get results on days like today, it will go a long way to putting them up there among the strongest favourites for this season's Champions Cup.

Toulon v Bath (15:15 GMT)
One downside for Bath from an impressive opening victory against Munster was the news that England prop Will Stuart faces a long spell out of the game after sustaining a ruptured Achilles tendon.
But Bath do have Argentina international Santi Carreras back at full-back, as part of an exciting back division that will take on Toulon.
Scotland's Finn Russell captains the side at fly-half, with Henry Arundell and Joe Cokanasiga on the wings and Cam Redpath and Max Ojomoh continuing in the centres.

FT: Harlequins 68-14 Bayonne
Harlequins fly-half Marcus Smith speaking to Premier Sports:
"It’s obviously nice to come back home after that shift last
week where the lads played with a lot of guts.
"We’re making strides and we talked
about getting back here in front of our friends and family and putting on a
show. We’ve got to keep building and working hard and that will give us a lot
of confidence.
"It’s nice to get our attacking game back on the park. It was a bit
tetchy at the start and not as accurate as we’d like but… 68 points today with lots
of attacking shape that was nice.
"It’s back to the Prem now and we need to build
on that performance."
Full-time Castres 33-0 Edinburghpublished at 14:55 GMT 14 December 2025

A bonus point win for Castres, and a heavy loss for Edinburgh after their shock victory over Toulon last week.
With the score only 5-0 at half-time, Sean Everitt's side gave themselves a decent shot. However, Castres showed their class in the second-half and soon started racking up the points.
In fact, Edinburgh barely got out of their own half in the second 40 minutes. A bruising game, but they'll have to pick themselves up quickly for the 1872 Cup double header.
Harlequins had to win today after defeat last week and they've done it in some style, racking up 10 tries against a rotated Bayonne team that ran out of gas.
Marcus Smith orchestrated things very well from fly-half, scored nine conversions, and has been named man-of-the-match.
All in all a very good day at the office for Quins.
