    FT: Toulon 45-34 Bath

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan told Premier Sports:

"It was a massive battle between two good sides. It came down to the last few minutes and they scored at the end.

"There was one point in it with 20 minutes to go and it's a fantastic place to play rugby."

    Northampton 50-5 Bulls

That's the end of the sparkling entertainment at the Gardens.

Saints have maximum points from their opening two Champions Cup matches.

Last year's runners-up couldn't have asked for a better start as they aim to go one better this season.

    Josh Kemeny

An early Christmas present for Saints and Josh Kemeny scores his side's eighth try of the afternoon to bring up the half-century.

  6. Full-time: Toulon 45-34 Bathpublished at 17:00 GMT 14 December 2025

That result means all six teams in Pool Two have one win and one loss after two matches.

Bath's try bonus point puts them top of the table with six points, with all other sides on five.

  7. try

Converted try: Toulon 45-34 Bathpublished at 16:58 GMT 14 December 2025

    Teddy Baubigny (con: Garcia)

Wow, OK, Toulon are going for the corner from the penalty. They want to stop Bath getting a second bonus point.

And they have - a catch-and-drive sends Teddy Baubigny over in the corner.

Mateo Garcia's conversion goes in off the post and that's the last action of a breathless Champions Cup contest.

    Toulon 38-34 Bath

One minute left now and Toulon have moved crab-like, side to side.

They have penalty advantage as well now - I think that will be the game.

    Toulon 38-34 Bath

Again, Toulon in Bath's half and trying to eat up as much clock as they can.

Two minutes and change left to play at Stade Mayol.

  10. try

Converted try: Toulon 38-34 Bathpublished at 16:51 GMT 14 December 2025

    Louie Hennessey (con: Russell)

    This is not over yet!

Max Ojomoh's short pass for Louie Hennessey is brilliant and he races over to cut the gap to four points.

That's a try bonus point wrapped up - can they pick up the full five?

  11. try

    George Hendy

To answer your question Chris - George Hendy!

A hat-trick for the Saints win - I wouldn't bet against Ollie Sleightholme getting a treble too.

  12. Penalty: Toulon 38-27 Bathpublished at 16:51 GMT 14 December 2025

    Mateo Garcia

Toulon are trying to squeeze the life out of Bath now, they're not taking many risks as they attempt to see out the final few minutes.

It's either a pick and go or a short pass and drive from the hosts.

That approach earns them a penalty, which Mateo Garcia kicks to put Toulon 11 points ahead with seven minutes left.

    Northampton 40-5 Bulls

    Chris Jones
BBC rugby union correspondent at Franklin's Gardens

The Bulls - shorn of some of their best players - really aren’t up to much, but this is turning into a vintage afternoon at the Gardens.

Henry Pollock almost scored one of the tries of the season, a storming 50 metre break before stumbling inches short of the line, with Ollie Sleightholme scoring seconds later.

Who’s going to bag a hat-trick first between Sleightholme and Hendy?

  14. try

Try: Northampton 40-5 Bullspublished at 16:46 GMT 14 December 2025

    Ollie Sleightholme

Saints have three tries in five minutes as Ollie Sleightholme grabs his second.

Fin Smith is off target from the tee for the first time today.

  15. try

Converted try: Toulon 35-27 Bathpublished at 16:42 GMT 14 December 2025

    Lewis Ludlam (con: Garcia)

Toulon have the try bonus point.

It's the ex-England man Lewis Ludlam who gets over, picking up the pieces from that five-metre scrum.

Mateo Garcia's conversion from the touchline is a key one as it extends the lead to beyond one score once again.

Scotland's Ben White is off the bench for the home side.

  16. try

    Alex Coles (con: Smith)

It's raining tries at the Gardens now as Alex Coles goes in for Saints' fifth.

That yellow card has proved costly for the Bulls.

The game is won, it's now about how many points Saints can rack up.

Using the most unscientific method of gaining the views of an audience...

Are Bath going to win this?

Hit the thumbs on this post - thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  19. converted try

Converted try: Northampton 28-5 Bullspublished at 16:38 GMT 14 December 2025

    Henry Pollock (con: Smith)

They had one ruled out a short time ago but this one is going to count!

After going through the phases near the Bulls line Alex Mitchell feeds Henry Pollock who crashes over to secure the bonus point after 56 minutes.

    Toulon 28-27 Bath

Toulon and Bath have scored three tries apiece - one more will earn a bonus point.

But they'll both have their eyes on much more than that as we enter the final 20 minutes of this game.
