    Castres 12-0 Edinburgh

Castres are on the charge again and Geoffrey Palis scythes through a gap. He just has to play the simple two-on-one pass but he leaps into the tackle and the offload goes behind the support runner.

    Another chance gone.

    Castres 12-0 Edinburgh

Huge chance for Castres. They work the numbers on the left and Christain Ambadiang just has to find Tyler Ardron on the wing, but he passes straight into touch.

Opportunity missed, and that would have been really hard for Edinburgh to come back from.

    Will Porter (con: Smith)

It's turning into a basketball match now with gaps all over the place - we've still got half an hour to play lads!

Will Porter has his second try, collecting a Nick David offload to cross the whitewash.

Six tries and you guessed it, six conversions for Marcus Smith.

    Castres 12-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh are really struggling to get out of their own 22m.

They've brought on a couple of subs, with a new front row on - including young loosehead Mikey Jones, who makes just a second pro appearance.

There's a bit more experience coming on in the back row, as Hamish Watson replaces Freddy Douglas.

    Tom Spring (con: Spring)

A lovely pass out of the back of the hand from Bayonne hooker Lucas Martin gets fly-half Tom Spring over the try line for the French side's second.

Bayonne might be losing but their fans are enjoying themselves in the London sunshine - they've broken into the Poznan after that score!

    Spring converts his own score.

    Lorenzo Zarantonello

Castres are still really pressing Edinburgh. They've won another penalty and it's kicked to the corner.

The line-out is clean, here comes the maul... and over the line they go. The hooker Zarantonello pops up with it.

Pierre Popelin slices the kick a little but it's through the uprights.

    Castres 5-0 Edinburgh

Castres have started strongly but Edinburgh are managing to keep them out, with Freddy Douglas pinching the ball at the breakdown.

The youngster is a demon in the ruck.

    Will Porter (con: Smith)

Two minutes into the second half Quins have a fifth try.

Will Porter takes the ball from the back of a maul and dummies a pass wide and as the Bayonne team overcommit he steps back inside to go over untouched.

That was pretty simple but a great start to the half if you're a Quins fan.

Marcus Smith is five out of five with his conversions.

    Castres 5-0 Edinburgh

We're back under way in Occitania, as Castres lead Edinburgh narrowly.

Christian Ambadiang is almost in for an early second-half try, but Edinburgh manage to shove him into touch as he goes for the line.

    HT: Harlequins 28-7 Bayonne

The break gives me the chance to drop a little Bayonne info on you - I'm sure you have been waiting for it...

They have quite a few well-known names in their squad but not many are involved in a rotated line-up today - the most notable being former England centre Manu Tuilagi.

There's also fellow Englishman Alex Moon, veteran France scrum-half Maxime Machenaud, Wales fly-half Gareth Anscombe and Puma wing Matteo Carreras.

Any side would miss players of that standard.

    Harlequins 28-7 Bayonne

No time to restart at the Stoop.

It was a half of two halfs in a way.

Quins were growing frustrated in the first 20 minutes with plenty of handling errors but in the second 20 we saw five tries - four of which were for the hosts.

  13. Half-time Castres 5-0 Edinburghpublished at 13:50 GMT 14 December 2025

It's not been a high-scoring game, and Castres have the edge at the break.

Piers O'Conor did cross early on for Edinburgh but was held up, before Christian Ambadiang was able to score for the hosts.

Edinburgh have had opportunities down in Castres' 22m, but have been merciful when presented with the line.

    Pedro Delgado (con: Smith)

Bonus point in the bag before half-time.

Quins opt for a tap penalty five metres out and Pedro Delgado ends up burrowing over the line.

Smith stays perfect from the tee and all in all that is a very satisfying half for Quins.

  16. Sin-bin: Will Evans (Harlequins)published at 35 mins

    Harlequins 21-7 Bayonne

A back down to earth moment for Quins as they concede a try and have Will Evans sent to the sin bin for an infringement at the breakdown as Bayonne looked to score.

    Castres 5-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh have slightly recovered and are back up in Castres territory...

But again, the ball goes loose and Castres are able to scamper up the pitch!

Edinburgh are their own worst enemy here. They should have scored at least one.

Fin Baxter is sent under the posts from close range and Quins have scored three tries in nine minutes.

    Castres 5-0 Edinburgh

Edinburgh are on the march here, as Cammy Scott knocks a penalty down into Castres' 22m.

They're going through the phases now, and they're within a yard. Tom Dodd looks like he's over, but the ball is just short...

And when they go wide, it's intercepted and hoofed up the pitch. Nightmare.
