Cardiff have allowed the hosts to fit into the gaps and wrap themselves around the ball, which eventually forces Cardiff to the ground.

You can see what the visitors are trying to do, but it’s not paid off just yet.

    Ospreys 7-10 Dragons

Dragons first won away at Ospreys in October 2010.

In more than 15 years since, they've repeated that feat just one - March 2021 when post-Covid crowds still weren't a thing.

This now looks like a big chance to address that wretched record.

    Ulster 14-0 Cardiff

Stef Emmanuel puts a nasty grubber in behind that Tom Bowen sets about chasing. It's not easy for Ethan McIlroy but he does well to recover and Ulster recycle.

The clearance isn't far but off the line-out it's a forward pass and scrum down white just inside the 22.

  4. Penalty: Ospreys 7-10 Dragonspublished at 20:51 GMT 31 January

    O'Brien

James Fender is pinged and now Angus O'Brien has a simpler chance.

No mistake this time. 35 metres out and straight through the middle.

  5. Missed penalty: Ospreys 7-7 Dragonspublished at 45 mins

It was nearly 50 metres out but Angus O'Brien fancied it.

Never got hold of that though. Short, wide, and certainly not handsome.

  6. Postpublished at 20:48 GMT 31 January

    Ulster 14-0 Cardiff

Jack Murphy looks up and tries to pick out Werner Kok with a cross-field kick. For a moment, it looks like it might land in the bread basket but it's just a step too far and the South African ends up volleying it into the terrace. Duck and cover!

    Dragons 7-7 Ospreys

This time it is the Dragons launching the early problems but Keelan Giles is equal to the task.

A bit of pin-ball follows before Sam Parry says enough of that football nonsense and carries powerfully over halfway.

However, a scrappy few minutes with Brodie Coghlan winning Dragons a penalty at the breakdown.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 20:45 GMT 31 January

    Ospreys 7-7 Dragons

Tinus de Beer hoists the ball hight into the clear night sky and we are back underway.

Be grateful for calm conditions tonight. For once of late, none of that storm or fog nonsense.

    Ulster 14-0 Cardiff

It's Cardiff who are on the front foot to start the second half and they have a lineout ten metres from the line.

It's right in front of their noisy bunch of supporters but Ulster win the turnover at the ruck.

Fly-half Jack Murphy has signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Ulster until 2028.

The 21-year-old arrived at the province in the summer of 2024 from Leinster and initially linked up with Ulster's academy side.

He was then promoted to the first team by his father and Ulster head coach Richie and made his debut against Munster in December 2024.

Murphy was the top points scorer in the 2024 Under-20 Six Nations Championship and his impressive form for Ulster this season has earned him a call-up to the Ireland XV side for February's fixture against England 'A' in Limerick.

"I'm very happy to be staying at Ulster for another two years. From the minute I joined I have felt very welcomed by the staff, players and the Ulster supporters," said Murphy, who has made 25 appearances for the province.

"We have showed the clear progress we are making together and I'm very driven to continue that development with my teammates in the future."

  12. O'Brien upbeat after missing out with Walespublished at 20:40 GMT 31 January

    HT: Ospreys 7-7 Dragons

In the nicest possible way, Dragons captain Angus O'Brien would rather not be here tonight.

Despite his form this season he missed out on Six Nations selection, but received a phone call from Wales attack coach Matt Sherratt to explain why.

"I try not to think about Wales too much," said O'Brien, who played sevens for his country at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

"It's still a goal and I would love the opportunity one day but I just focus on being the best that I can to help us continue our momentum."

We all need to come together and put pressure on the high ups and give that to the supporters.

We need to show unity and what the Ospreys mean to the supporters and us.

I came down before the match for the protest, to hear what the supports have to say, and it’s been the same story on how much it means to everyone.

Whatever myself and the other ex-players can do, we’ll do our best.

  14. Dragons pegged back after dominating physicallypublished at 20:37 GMT 31 January

At one point in that half, it was one-way traffic with the Dragons pack clearly on top in terms of physicality.

However, that Iestyn Hopkins breakout from deep, eventually leading to the Reuben Morgan-Williams try, really stemmed their momentum.

What's more, towards the end of the half the Dragons scrum was creaking and they've already been forced to use two forward replacements.

It's all to play for here.

  15. How things stand for Ospreys and Dragonspublished at 20:37 GMT 31 January

    HT: Ospreys 7-7 Dragons

After tonight, it is four weeks without league action for both these sides.

Ospreys lie 10th in the URC table, but know any kind of win tonight will see them head to their enforced break in the top-eight.

Dragons are 14th and eight points off that target. However, victory tonight - especially with a bonus point - will catapult Filo Tiatia's side right into contention.

Despite the score line, Cardiff are in this game and they need to change something in the second half.

Some harsh words will be said from the Cardiff management, because Ulster have been unstoppable so far and they can run away with it in the second half.

    Fair play to Keelan Giles!

He practically ran the whole length on the pitch for that tackle on Rio Dyer, that’s one way to stop a try.

  19. Half-time: Ospreys 7-7 Dragonspublished at 20:33 GMT 31 January

And that is that for the first half.

Remember, when these sides met in round five of the URC, it finished 19-19.

And so far, they still can't be separated tonight.

  20. No try: Ospreys 7-7 Dragonspublished at 37 mins

    Indeed, he has.

A great 'no-look' pass from Che Hope has the winger diving for the corner, but Ross Moriarty does enough to force him out of play before the ball is grounded.

Rio Dyer is getting closer but still, no cigar.
