A few missed chances from Wales. Put them right and we’re out of sight. Hopefully fitness and preparation will show second half and whilst George [North] is a legend, I DO NOT wish him to score!!

    George, Oxfordshire

Half-time changes for Wales in the front row.

Ryan Elias on for captain Dewi Lake, Rhys Barratt on for Gareth Thomas, Ben Warren on for Dillon Lewis.

The Baa-Baas get us back under way.

I think we are seeing the benefits of Matt Sherrat's coaching.

They look tidy and in the first few phases every player knows what they are doing.

They are doing creative moves and they seem to have options out wide.

Wales' replacements eventually make their way out onto the pitch to stretch the legs.

Four international novices should come on at some stage.

Dragons lock or flanker Ryan Woodman and back-row forward Harrison Keddie are on the bench, along with Cardiff loose-head Rhys Barratt and Ospreys tight-head Ben Warren.

Former Wales wing on BBC Radio Cymru

The Barbarians are forcing a lot of passes and offloads, which is unfamiliar and untidy, and not often seen in international games.

A lot of young players are ready on the bench and there is plenty to look forward to.

  6. 'Tough first half for Wales'published at 15:02 BST 27 June

    Ken Owens
    Former Wales hooker on S4C

It's been a tough first half for Wales.

The Barbarians want to open the game up so it's important for Wales to keep their structure and go through the phases.

Wales have had their chances, but I think Steve Tandy will be disappointed with the way Wales have been defensively so far.

There are lots of positives from that first half for Steve Tandy.

Wales will definitely want to be more clinical, they've had some good opportunities when they get in the 22 and they just need to be a bit more patient.

The heat always plays a part in these sort of games and there will be so much sweat and moisture that it creeps onto the ball.

It's almost easier when it's raining as you take that little extra care when handling the ball.

  9. A longer breakpublished at 14:55 BST 27 June

    HT: Barbarians 5-14 Wales

We'll have to wait a bit longer for the resumption - the heat means that it will be a 20-minute half-time.

At kick-off we had it as 32 degrees (90F) here at Twickenham, but it will no doubt feel hotter out in the middle of the pitch.

The occasional breeze is very welcome up here in the east stand.

Gareth is right, Wainwright has certainly been to the fore so far and the Leicester-bound number eight will be vital for Wales this summer.

It feels like Aaron Wainwright has been around forever but he's still only 28.

He's got his peak years ahead of him and we'd love to see him flying into the World Cup.

Do we not have any better wingers?

Not often I want the opposition to score. But I hope George North scores one when he comes off the bench.

Wales go into the break with a nine-point lead.

It could have been more convincing and they will hope to show a bit more patience in the second half.

Will the Baa-Baas' team bonding take its toll late in the game?!

The Baa-Baas go close to a second try.

After a big break by De Klerk down the left wing it is shifted to the right, where they win a penalty in the 22 after Ellis Mee fails to cleanly gather a grubber through and then holds onto the ball.

Centre Jeremy Ward goes quickly but is bundled into touch.

There are around 20,000 fans here at Twickenham and they have got a Mexican wave going as half-time approaches.

There could be a few whiffs as arms go up in this heat.

Another chance goes begging for Wales.

Eddie James hacks a loose ball on but cannot gather in the 22.

The Baa-Baas are showing flashes of inspiration but it's Wales that look the more threatening in this heat.

They need to be more clinical.

That should have been a third for Wales.

Gareth Thomas puts Dewi Lake through a hole in midfield but the hooker's pass to his left is a poor one.

Aaron Wainwright gathers from by his ankles but cannot stay on his feet.

Barbarians scramble and the number eight is penalised for holding on.

Wales playing better than I thought they would. Very impressed so far.

I remember watching the Wales-Barbarians game in 2003 I think? And remember a young Gareth Delve playing in that one!
