Thanks for joining us for that bumper afternoon of rugby which saw a clean sweep of victories by Wales over the Barbarians.

The men began by edging to a 33-31 win, a result that sends Steve Tandy's side off in good spirits for Nations Championship Tests against Fiji, Argentina and South Africa in July.

But so much of that game was about George North, claiming two tries for the Barbarians - and that cheeky last conversion! - against his nation in his last professional game and underling his status as one of Wales' very best to have played the game.

The women then impressed against a quality Barbarians side, an inexperienced Wales team giving Sean Lynn just a second win since taking the reins - but also plenty of food for thought with players putting their hands up for future inclusion.

Nos da and join us next Saturday as Wales men take on Fiji in their Nations Championship opener.

Kayleigh Powell speaking on S4C: 'It was really good. It was class, I couldn't ask for more to be honest.

"To get the win we wanted so much is a credit to all the work we've put in in the last few weeks and the Six Nations.

"I think all the youngsters came into their own. We want to play flowing rugby, and those girls really can play rugby.

"That's the exciting thing, we can keep our structure which is what we're going after, but we also have some really talented players coming through."

New Zealand great Ruby Tui speaking on S4C: "Can we say how class are the women's Welsh team? Plenty of fight, plenty of niggle, I love that. It was fun but I wouldn't recommend it. After so long off and then playing 80 minutes against Wales I wouldn't recommend it.

"The little half-back. We seen her carve up in the PWR and for Wales and I think today I was running next to her and I couldn't be bothered to tackle her. I was thinking she's pretty quick.

"There is plenty of superstars coming through. With a bit of game time and experience they will be one to watch in the future."

Player of the match Bryonie King speaking on S4C: "It's a fantastic feeling to get the win. I play with these girls that have so much ambition, so I just went and played my own game.

"When you play with girls like Alex Callender and Alisha Joyce in the back row with you, it makes your job so much easier. I had a great Six Nations so I just developed from that.

"All the time you just have to keep on going, it's not always there for you. I'm honoured every time to wear that number eight shirt."

Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

It's all about showcasing how you are moving in the right direction.

Tyrone Holmes said that before the game, statistically all these elements were improving but sometimes you just need that win.

Even for the players to believe it, not just the media, not just for supporters but for the players to go to another level. You believe, you buy in more and that's when you get exponential growth.

We've spoken about Bryonie King a lot, we've seen the amount of line breaks and metres she's made.

But her defensive work as well, the amount of effort she puts in.

She's only 22 and could be world class, which she is on her way to being.

  7. 'Ambition we want to see'published at 19:04 BST

    Rachel Taylor
Former Wales captain and coach on BBC Radio Wales

That's the ambition we want to see from this Welsh team.

Winning the game is great, for us to be able to score 34 points today is a credit to where these players left the Six Nations and what they've been able to do today.

That's it and Wales have deservedly followed the men by beating the Barbarians.

Only a second win for Sean Lynn since taking the reins and there was plenty of good in that performance.

That success gives them something to build on going into their September Tests against South Africa and USA in Cardiff, which is followed by a Two-Test tour of Japan.

It's not the done thing in a Baa-Baas game but Wales could really do with winding the clock down to get a morale-boosting win ahead of September's WXV games.

However, they concede a scrum penalty and the Baa-Baas are on the attack.

Wales hammer away at the line and work the space down the left for centre Courtney Keight, one of their stars of the Six Nations, to go over.

The conversion is wide - kicking has hurt Wales today - but that gives them something of a buffer in the closing stages.

    Can they hold on?
