    Hull KR 12-0 Brisbane

Reece Walsh is having an absolute mare out there.

The Brisbane full-back is being targeted from every high ball. The latest catch is met by an onrushing Joe Bugess and Oliver Gildart who hoist him to ground and, moments later, Brisbane knock on from Kotoni Staggs.

    Dear oh dear.

    Hull KR 12-0 Brisbane

In the first real Brisbane attack of the game, they get to within roughly a metre of the Hull KR try-line.

But they've not really hovered in the Robins' territory for long, mind.

Willie Peters must be loving this.

So what's the Brisbane response, do you reckon?

As I say, they've been unusually error-prone so far. Very jittery indeed.

Broncos captain Adam Reynolds kicks to goal and eventually wins a goal-line drop-out.

But such is Hull KR's gameplan tonight, Mikey Lewis takes up almost the entire shot clock to get us going again and Brisbane almost - almost - knock on from the restart.

    Hull KR 12-0 Brisbane

Joe Burgess is bleeding from the shin.

Hull KR are leaving absolutely nothing out there at the minute. I thought pre-match in the tunnel that their body language looked quite interesting. They'd come out earlier than Brisbane and every single one of the starting line-up looked properly tuned in.

They've been brilliant but by now it really feels like they've done their homework.

    What is going on here?!

Willie Peters' side have played Brisbane like a fiddle here. They are rattled, error-prone and look short of answers.

From that six again, Hull KR keep it alive and capitalise as Elliott Minchella unleashes his power to drive over the line.

Arthur Mourgue makes no mistake with the boot and it's a 12-point lead.

    Hull KR 6-0 Brisbane

Reece Walsh goes to collect another high ball but he's tackled as he spills the ball.

A scrum's given and Hull KR look like they're in a commanding position as they not only get a set of six right in front of the Brisbane posts, but they're given six again soon after.

Can they make this early pressure count and get more points on the board?

  8. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Hull KR 6-0 Brisbane

How about that for an opening 10 minutes?

If last week's defeat by York Knights was about blowing off the cobwebs, then this is the sort of start you'd expect at the end of a long dominant season.

Just take Arthur Mourgue for example. Under pressure from an onrushing Reece Walsh, he collects a high ball and takes his tackle. Unerred, the lad is.

That's a bit of a settler and a bit of a grounder for Hull.

It's just what they needed after the pressure they put on the Broncos.

    So far, so good.

Try time! Hull KR strike first!

The MKM goes ballistic! Tom Amone scores on his debut as he works onto Tyrone May's grubber kick to the line.

But does May spill the ball before he makes his kick? Clearly not because there's nowt doing upstairs.

Arthur Mourgue duly kicks the two from in front of the posts.

Staggs is a high-quality player but that wasn't high-quality handling.

Rovers are just starting to turn the screw.

    Hull KR 0-0 Brisbane

    Great movement from Hull KR.

They work the ball wide to Mikey Lewis who kicks to goal but Joe Burgess can't quite work onto it before it's punted dead by Brisbane.

Lewis offers his hands to the crowd to gee them up. Great stuff.

  13. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 Brisbane

A roar goes up around the MKM Stadium as Kotoni Staggs cheaply spills a high ball.

I tell you what folks, Hull KR look properly up for this. And believe it or not it's Brisbane who look like they're a bit overawed by the occasion!

Corey Jensen's off for a head injury assessment.

    Xavier Willison takes his place.

  15. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 Brisbane

Corey Jensen looks hurt inside the opening minute after a tackle on Sauaso Sue.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the field, there's some afters as it gets heated in the aftermath of Elliott Minchella going in with an elbow.

Reece Walsh takes issue with that and we've got a bit of biff within the opening 90 seconds.

Hull KR concede a penalty in the aftermath.

Right then. Strap in, the greatest sport in the world's kicked off one of the showpiece games of the season.

Super League Grand Final: Hull KR 24-6 Wigan Warriors - Highlights

The third and final piece of the jigsaw.

Under the lights at Old Trafford, Hull KR wrapped up the treble, wrote themselves into the record books and set up tonight's fixture with a win over Wigan Warriors in last October's Super League Grand Final.

In the process, the Robins became only the fifth team to win in a Grand Final, joining their opponents Wigan, Bradford Bulls, Leeds Rhinos and St Helens in getting their name on the trophy.

Not only that, but it was a first league championship triumph for Hull KR since 1984.
