    Hull KR 30-20 Brisbane

Matt Newsum's just made the point on the television commentary that another Brisbane try could put a possible Hull KR win in doubt.

But what of the Robins? If they can gain ground, earn some possession time in the opposition half, a cheap penalty could put a bit of daylight between them.

Joe Batchelor and Mikey Lewis make a last-ditch combined effort to keep Brisbane on the wrong side of the line.

The Broncos are marauding in Hull KR's 10 but Reece Walsh sends off a wayward offload which lofts and bobbles in to touch.

    A let-off for the Robins.

Brisbane are making yards, they're making Hull KR back pedal.

    They need Minchella's leadership now.

Tyrone May cheaply loses the ball in midfield. This comes in the aftermath of Elliott Minchella's shirt literally being ripped off his body.

In a weird way it's probably not the worst thing that play's held up while he gets a new shirt as Hull KR really need to slow this game down a bit and preserve their lead.

Squeaky bum time if you're a Hull KR fan right now.

It's all Brisbane. They've gone up several gears in the past 10 minutes.

Not so long ago it was Hull KR who just had to see the game out. Now it's about them holding on.

    Gehamat Shibasaki

Uh oh, Brisbane's incredible second half showing continues..

Gehamat Shibasaki races in for his second of the night and a groan goes up around a sold out MKM Stadium.

That being said, Adam Reynolds' kick hits the post.

    Still 10 points in it.

When you concede on the next set, that's worrying scenes.

I was glad they were making a game of it on the last try, but that's enough now.

Broncos have been asleep for the most part of it, they've woken up.

    Deine Mariner, goal Adam Reynolds

    Wow. Okay. Game on, then?

Two Brisbane tries in two minutes and all of a sudden there's some nerves around the MKM Stadium at the minute.

Deine Mariner sells a peach of a dummy to Mikey Lewis and shows incredible pace to run in down the wing. Adam Reynolds makes no mistake with the boot.

    Patrick Carrigan, goal Adam Reynolds

Anyway, as I was saying, Brisbane haven't turned up tonight..

A brilliant flowing move from the Broncos sees them tee up Patrick Carrigan to run the ball over the line.

Adam Reynolds adds the two. Can they mount a comeback in the final quarter?

    Hull KR 30-4 Brisbane

I don't want to sound impolite by saying this but..

I mean, in the past two World Club Challenge fixtures, Penrith Panthers put up more of a fight than this didn't they?

This isn't to diminish Hull KR's efforts, of course, as they deserve all the superlatives I can possibly throw at them.

But Brisbane just haven't turned up tonight.

    Hull KR, take a bow!

What a performance from the Super League champions.

Too much time and space given from Brisbane, he was able to dance around to find an opening.

Hull have schooled them on how to play on a cold, wet and windy night.

    Peta Hiku, goal Rhyse Martin

Yes, Hull KR CAN prosper from the territory!

Peta Hiku slides over and Willie Peters' side aren't just beating the NRL Premiers. They're demolishing them!

Drink it in folks. So what if the Ashes was a drubbing? Rugby league in these parts is in a good spot.

Rhyse Martin adds the two in the aftermath.

    Hull KR 24-4 Brisbane

Mikey Lewis is on fire tonight. Any inkling that his sin-binning last week, and subsequent clearance to feature tonight, might have indicated he wasn't in the right headspace to take on the 2026 season seems to be well and truly banished.

He's just dinked an absolute peach of a 40-20 kick.

But will Hull KR prosper from the territory?

    Hull KR 24-4 Brisbane

That's quite a lead Hull KR have got. 20 points with just under half an hour left on the clock.

The Robins have come racing out the blocks all night, make no mistake.

But this has been a performance full of errors from Brisbane, who've looked well, well off it.

From a British point of view, it's just what the doctor ordered.

Hull made sure they were chasing with intent and purpose and have found the try.

It looked like they got back to their plan, and they shifted back into the way they should be doing it.

    Oliver Gildart, goal Rhyse Martin

    Another Hull KR try!

Honestly, if you can't watch right now, seek out the highlights for this one.

On the last, Mikey Lewis makes a big old kick upfield which Brisbane's Deiner Mariner make an absolute meal of dealing with.

Joe Burgess makes himself a nuisance with the chase, it bounces favourably for Oliver Gildart who touches down out of nothing.

    Rhyse Martin nails the extras.

Gehamat Shibasaki drives to the line in pursuit of his second try of the evening for Brisbane.

He outstretches his arm but he can't divert it over the line as he's held up short.

    Great defence from Hull KR.

    Hull KR 18-4 Brisbane

Here's a missed opportunity for Brisbane.

They're camped inside the Hull KR 10 and on the last, Ezra Mam puts a pretty tepid kick in which is easily collected by Mikey Lewis.

Willie Peters' side would love it if Brisbane did that all night to be honest.

There's some encouraging signs in the early stages for Hull KR.

Credit to Broncos, they're holding firm here.

It will be interesting to see what they can do to the Hull defence.
