There's been quite the second set over on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

After taking the first set against Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva 6-3, Sloane Stephens fell apart to find herself 5-0 down in the second.

Though the American fought back to 5-3, a relieved Putintseva has finally taken the set to force a decider.

Norrie knows he is in a fight here. He's 30-15 up but a strong backhand down the line by Musetti and then a winner hammered down the right side of the court brings it to deuce.

Musetti takes the next point and has the chance to break Norrie early, but the Brit recovers with a brilliant backhand winner.

Musetti looks unshaken though and another winner has him on break point before Norrie sends his forehand long and Musetti is 2-0 up.

On balance, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is deserving of a set here, but it's going to be difficult to deny Djokovic's charge to the finish line.

Musetti comfortably takes his opening service game, racing 40-0 ahead before the Italian puts a return into the net to get Norrie up and running.

That prompts a raise of the fist by the British number one but he then sends a forehand wide to give the game to Musetti.

There is further booing from the crowd as Djokovic receives some treatment on his legs, holding up the start of set three.

The Serb responds by applauding those doing so. More boos.

It has been a right old struggle for Novak Djokovic.

I don’t think he has enjoyed it very much.

There's an upset brewing in the mixed doubles on court six.

Joe Salisbury and his American partner Desirae Krawczyk are the second seeds but they have lost the first set of their first round match to fellow British-American pairing Jamie Murray and Taylor Townsend.

This has been hard work but, after two hours and fifty minutes, the third seed has a two-set lead and the fourth round is in his sights.

Lorenzo Musetti is serving first against Cameron Norrie as the two bid to reach the fourth round.

A tough one to call this, expecting it to be a tight match.

Davidovich Fokina has his hands on his hips after he overhits a routine forehand at 5-4.

Now it's Djokovic who will have the chance to wrap this up, the Spaniard blinking first in another exhausting exchange.

He's still not done yet.

Davidovich Fokina chops down into a drop shot which Djokovic doesn't bother going for.

And 4-1 becomes 4-4! A volley at the net brings him back on level terms as he fights to stay in this.

Both players are out on court now warming up. Not long until this third-round match gets under way.

Davidovich Fokina reminds Djokovic that he's still got the stomach for this fight with a forehand winner.

Cam Norrie could reach the fourth round at a Grand Slam for the third time in his last four events, having reached the semi-final at Wimbledon and fourth round US Open fourth round last year.

Discussing his third round meeting with Lorenzo Musetti, Norrie said: "It's a tough match-up because I'd say his favourite surface is clay.

"He's a great player, really talented and obviously I lost to him last time.

"It will be difficult and I'll have to come out with the energy I did against Pouille to have a chance."

That lengthy third point looks like it took more out of Davidovich Fokina than Djokovic.

Another miss leaves the Spaniard 3-1 down and Djokovic is celebrating again as he edges out to 4-1 before taking over serving duties.

It is, surely, a must-win tie-break for Davidovich Fokina.

At a point apiece, a stunning third point, lasting 21 shots, results in punching the air after Davidovich Fokina goes narrowly wide with a backhand.

Cameron Norrie says he is not distracted by the looming prospect of playing top seed Carlos Alcaraz as he attempts to reach the French Open fourth round for the first time.

Norrie, seeded 14th, must first come through a tough task in the third round against Italian 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti.

Spain's Alcaraz plays Canadian 26th seed Denis Shapovalov in Friday's night session, with the winners of each match meeting in the last 16.

"I saw it's Alcaraz but I'm focused on taking it match by match," Norrie said.
