Cam Norrie flaps his arms in the air and then shakes his head as he trudges off court.

He can't believe he dumped that forehand into the net at deuce, second serve.

Oh, and now we're having another brief break as Rublev decides he needs to nip to the loo.

Oh, Norrie gets a look at a very slow second serve, and somehow thwacks it into the net!

That's a huge miss, and it's another set point to Rublev...

Another huge first serve from Andrey Rublev and it brings up set point...

  8. Postpublished at 17:58 BST 5 September 2022

    Norrie 4-6 4-5 Rublev*

Great serve from Rublev this time, however, and Norrie can only bunt it long.

Oh, and now a beauty down the T! That's a fine response from Rublev.

    30-30.

  9. Rublev serving for setpublished at 17:58 BST 5 September 2022

    Norrie 4-6 4-5 Rublev*

Ooft. An absolutely horrible double fault from Rublev, including a shank serve that has the Russian smiling wryly, kick off this service game.

Now an advancing Norrie pops a winner away to go to 0-30 and arouse the interest of the crowd...

I feel like Norrie has tried to adapt to Rublev and not played his own match.

  11. Norrie holds to stay in setpublished at 17:56 BST 5 September 2022

    Norrie 4-6 4-5 Rublev*

There's an audible groan as Cam Norrie trips into a double fault first up.

He makes up for it with a glorious forehand winner, but a wonky backhand keeps Rublev interested at 40-30, before Norrie shuts the door with a nice forehand winner.

Rublev will have to serve this one out.

    *Norrie 4-6 3-5 Rublev

    David Law

I think Rublev has played very well and I think Norrie will be very disappointed in his performance so far.

But if he goes two sets to love down, it is a very long way back.

Finally! We have some tennis. Probably the biggest roar of the afternoon greets Rublev launching a serve - 24 minutes after the previous point.

    Norrie 4-6 3-4 Rublev*

    David Law
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

It has probably been a bit of a shock to Norrie's system as to how one-sided this match has been. I think this break will have come at the right time to halt Rublev's momentum.

It is pouring it down outside the stadium!

Anyway, I'm pleased to report that the players are, finally, hitting a ball about.

Rublev is still pacing about on court and Norrie briefly decides to join him for a minute or two.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are entertained by the big screen where we see a lad wearing a United States 'soccer' jersey chugging a beer.

Three seconds flat, no spillage. Impressive.

The ball kids have come back out for some more mopping.

I think, by the looks of it, Norrie and Rublev will then have another three-minute warm up as well.
