    Angelique Kerber pumps both fists and screams "come on!" - after three hours and 19 minutes the German fires a winner beyond Sara Sorribes Tormo and clinches a sensational match.

    The former champion is into the third round after an extraordinary battle on court two. Just brilliant from both players, but it is the 25th seed who progresses.

    Moments earlier, Gasquet had shown great athleticism to spring high and smash away a high one.
