  1. Sakkari outpublished at 13:38 BST 1 July 2021

    Sakkari 5-7 4-6 Rogers

A shock in the women's second round to report as Greece's 15th seed Maria Sakkari, a semi-finalist at the French Open just a few weeks, loses in straight sets to America's Shelby Rogers on court five.

Rogers will now face 18th seed Elena Rybakina, of Kazakhstan, in the last 32.

    *Bolt 3-5 Norrie

The unforced errors count from Bolt is creeping up and that's 13 already, compared to only five from Norrie, who has scooped up five consecutive games.

One more and the set is over.

  3. Norrie breakspublished at 13:35 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-4 Norrie*

This set has absolutely flipped around so quickly. Bolt, who lost to Kyle Edmund in the first round at Wimbledon in 2018, is now trailing to another Briton in round two here.

Cameron Norrie wins his fourth in a row and is now serving to make that five.

Shrieks of surprise as that net cord went the way of Norrie. It hit the tape, looping up and spinning when it hit the surface, like a golf ball being pinged into a wet green with a wedge.

    *Bolt 3-3 Norrie

Norrie, after a slow start, is impressing now. He's at 0-30 aiming to take his fourth game on the spin.

  6. Watch as Bolt hits brilliant winner to break servepublished at 13:31 BST 1 July 2021

    *Bolt 3-3 Norrie

Alex Bolt gained a break really early on, but has since lost that advantage. Anyway, here's how Bolt made a good start.

And this shot is worth seeing again and again.

    *Bolt 3-3 Norrie

Maybe it's going to be Cameron Norrie's day. He gets very lucky with a net cord, with all the pace wiped from the ball, which just dribbles over and leaving Bolt helpless.

That is part of a hold to love for Norrie and it's 3-3.

Nothing startles you more inside a Wimbledon court than the sound of a champagne cork suddenly popping very loudly.

The culprit's cheeks went as rosy as the coloured fizz she's about to glug.

If the players heard it then they didn't flinch. I did.

  9. Bolt dangerous but Norrie 'should win'published at 13:28 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-2 Norrie*

    Russell Fuller
    BBC tennis correspondent at Wimbledon

Norrie is having the most fantastic season – the third most wins on the ATP tour this year with 30. He was the finalist at Queen’s. He’s the world number 34, the 29th seed.

Alex Bolt is down at 149 in the world rankings, he’s a wild card but he’s been in terrific form on the grass recently. He was given a wildcard for this event because of the way he performed on the grass in a Challenger event at Nottingham.

He had been on a horrible losing streak going into the event but he won the title, his first title on grass, so clearly he is learning to play on the surface and he’s going to be dangerous because Cameron Norrie has felt in the past that grass is not his best surface.

But he should win this match, Norrie.

  10. Barty to start soon on Centrepublished at 13:27 BST 1 July 2021

I was just about to type that the sun, finally, was shining down on Centre Court, but oh no, the clouds have returned. Again.

Anyway, first up on Centre Court at 1:30 today is world number one Ashleigh Barty against Anna Blinkova of Russia.

Australian Barty is top-seeded at a major for the fifth time in her career, but she's never made it past the fourth round here at Wimbledon.

This is the first meeting between the pair.

  11. Norrie breaks backpublished at 13:27 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-2 Norrie*

Alex Bolt took the opening three games, now Cameron Norrie has taken the next two and has stopped his opponent from running away with the opener.

Back on serve, 3-2 to the Australian.

  12. Battle of the leftiespublished at 13:26 BST 1 July 2021

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

10% of the tour is leftie. It's a different spin and comes in a different way.

It shouldn't take more than a couple of games to get used to it.

Norrie came out a bit tight, but he's starting to get it together.

  13. Postpublished at 13:26 BST 1 July 2021

A brilliantly-whipped forehand pass from Norrie gives him break point, 30-40.

    *Svitolina 1-4 Linette

A bit of a surprise brewing on court two?

Elina Svitolina got off to the perfect start, breaking Magda Linette's serve, but the Polish world number 44 has responded superbly to take the next four games against the third seed.

I'm sure he watched Andy Murray play last night and how well he used the crowd.

I am sure he could learn a lot there.

Interesting match-up for Cameron Norrie against another leftie. He's lost his previous two Grand Slam matches against a left-hander. Both of those came against some chico from Mallorca called R.Nadal.

  17. Postpublished at 13:24 BST 1 July 2021

    *Bolt 3-1 Norrie

That's a much-needed hold from Norrie, who had been taken to deuce but avoids going down a double break.

That game is met by great applause from the home crowd, who were instrumental in helping Andy Murray last night. Same again please, everyone.

    Er, actually...

  19. Bolt has an 'incredible opportunity' herepublished at 13:21 BST 1 July 2021

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Pressure is on Norrie - the seed, the favourite, the Brit.

Bolt's tricky though - I have watched him play a number of times - he's not a guy that's going to beat himself.

For a journeyman, this is an incredible opportunity here.

    That was outstanding.

  20. Postpublished at 13:18 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-0 Norrie*

It's been a lightning start from Bolt. Sorry.

A very quick hold and in no time he's 3-0 up against the British number two and 29th seed.
