  1. Upset alert for Svitolina?published at 14:11 BST 1 July 2021

    Svitolina 3-6 4-5 Linette*

Linette has had nothing but belief in this match, and Svitolina is looking just a little bemused that she can't figure out what to do. She's faced a little bit of everything including a bit of serve and volley.

Linette will come out and serve for the match... for a bit of an upset.

  2. Broady and Burrage out of women's doublespublished at 14:11 BST 1 July 2021

    Broady/Burrage 2-6 6-7 (3-7) Kuzmova/Rus

Naomi Broady and Jodie Burrage will not be joining fellow Brits Harriet Dart and Heather Watson in round two of the women's doubles.

The pair battled back bravely in the second set against 15th seeds Viktoria Kuzmova and Arantxa Rus but lost a tie-break to exit in straight sets.

Bolt sends one miles long and has to get his head back in the game or this match might not last long. 0-30 in the first game of the third set.

Shocked laughter as the Hawk-Eye camera zoomed in, and then zoomed in closer, to check that line. Possibly the closest I've ever seen!

  5. Game and second set - Norriepublished at 14:07 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-6 1-6 Norrie

Cameron Norrie has only dropped four games in two sets and has won 12 of the previous 13 games.

He's two sets up and has this one under complete control after Bolt sends a return into the net.

The closest Hawk-Eye decision possible goes against a Cameron Norrie serve, but he picks up the next point for 40-0 and has three set points for 2-0.

Bolt has turned the toaster off. Norrie won't get his bagel.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem for the British number two.

A few shouts of 'Come on Cam!' as he prepares to serve for a two-set lead.

    Bolt 3-6 1-5 Norrie*

A good serve from Bolt gets that set point for Norrie off the table, with the Briton then sending a forehand into the middle of the net.

An ace follows for the Australian to end his 11-game losing streak. It might not count for much as Norrie is now serving for the set.

Bolt looks completely and utterly perplexed out here. Norrie has been like a brick wall, sending back ball after ball and forcing the Aussie into plenty of unforced errors.

  10. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 1 July 2021

Bolt, needing to do something different, tries some serve-volleying, but he's in danger of a whitewash in this set. Norrie set point to win it 6-0.

  11. Bolt has gone 'into his shell'published at 14:03 BST 1 July 2021

    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

Alex Bolt had a chance to go up two breaks of serve in that first set - he was in deep in that fourth game but didn't pick up the break.

He's gone back into his shell since. For a left-handed Australian, on grass, to lose five consecutive service games?

  12. 'Horrible combination of things happening'published at 14:02 BST 1 July 2021

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Bolt has lost his edge completely, mentally, so his energy has dropped. He should make an effort to hold so he starts the next set serving.

Bolt is beating himself so it is a horrible combination of things happening. Everything that could possibly go wrong for him is happening.

Fair to say Norrie does not yet have the same adulation as Murray (obviously) or Evans among the Wimbledon fans.

The Court One crowd is backing him loudly, but mainly vigorous applause rather than the shouting or singing which his peers are used to.

But if he keeps on playing like this then the 25-year-old will only continue to win a place in their hearts. Stunning stuff.

    *Bolt 3-6 0-5 Norrie

Norrie breezes through his next game. Not only is he winning, he's not having to use up too much energy at the moment to do so.

Remember, it's Federer or Gasquet in round three on Saturday for the winner.

Bob McFeil: Have to disagree with George’s comment on towels and ballkids (see 13:44 entry). It feels like some of the fluency of the game has been sucked out with players constantly walking over to the side of the court to use their towel. Post-Covid we should revert back.

Mastrs80: Bolt out of the blocks like a flash to take a 3-0 lead. Norrie responds winning the next eight games and counting. Looks like Bolt is better in a sprint, but five-set tennis is more like a marathon... I'll get my coat!

It's 10 games and counting now...

  16. Norrie gets a double breakpublished at 13:58 BST 1 July 2021

    Bolt 3-6 0-4 Norrie*

Hard to imagine how this could be going better for Cameron Norrie. That's TEN games in a row, from 0-3 down in the first to winning the first set and a double break in the second.

  17. Postpublished at 13:57 BST 1 July 2021

The ball flicks up off the tape, but Norrie shows great reactions to get there and Bolt can't get there, so advantage Norrie, break point.

    Svitolina 3-6 3-2 Linette*

Moments of frustration for Svitolina but this is about as good a game as she has played this set to keep ahead on serve.

All about doing the basics well now and putting the pressure on Linette.

A brilliant two-handed backhand from Norrie passes Bolt at the net and this one, on the Bolt serve, is at deuce.

    Barty 2-2 Blinkova*

    Katie Falkingham
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

The Centre Court grass has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week as players go slipping and sliding all over the place.

This time it's a ballboy who hits the deck. He's OK and gets straight back up.
