Sofia Kenin is known for her immense will-to-win and it is evident as she demonstratively marches around the baseline. She's a woman on a mission.

Constantly shaking her left fist three times after winning points, constantly chuntering at her box or slapping her thigh after losing points.

I also like how she quickly spins around to get a ball as soon as a service point ends.

"Gimme that ball, I need to crack on," is the general gist.

Brilliant from Muguruza, drawing Kenin around the court and stealing into the net to win the point and secure the break advantage immediately after the American had hit back.

She'll serve for the opening set.

I think Muguruza is serving with a forehand grip and that can result in a loss of control - you can't serve with spin.

Dr Ros Clarke: I would love to see Kenin and Thiem winning at the Australian Open this year. It'd be great to have some new players breaking through, especially on the men's side

    *Muguruza 4-3 Kenin

Kenin is frustrated with that missed sliced backhand... a little jab into the surface with her racquet. It doesn't put her off a delicate drop shot off the next point, cutting right underneath the fluff and bringing it down out of the reach of a full-stretch Muguruza.

She holds, from 0-40 down and having faced four break points.

If Kenin is going to fight back then she has to pick up that Muguruza is serving wide. She also has to put more power in her shots.
