Murray and Mattek-Sands were up against it, and then there was some inspiration to get that first set on the board - to not win it from there will hurt a bit.

  3. 'This is an awesome event'published at 13:08 GMT 1 February 2020

Nikola Mektic: "Jamie and Bethanie... congratulations, a great tournament. I was lucky this time. Barbora thank you very much - it was amazing. I have to thank my team, everybody who supports me back in Croatia... and the Czech Republic. This is an awesome event.

Barbora Krejcikova is not going to say anything, she just continues laughing.

    Fair enough. I'd laugh too.

Here is Jamie Murray: "The first time Beth's been lost for words! We fought as hard as we can but came up short, so congrats on a Grand Slam title.

"It was a good, fun atmosphere to play. Beth, thanks for being a great partner, we have had a lot of success but more importantly a lot of fun. We'll try and come back next year and get a win."

Everyone is in a bit of shock, it has totally gone against what everyone predicted - they have played a great tie-break in this final set.

I have to say, huge smiles on their faces and they really did earn it - they came out of the blue after they dropped the first set, didn't give up and raised their level.
