    It's absolutely sweltering at SW19 today, definitely the hottest day we've had so far this week. Those poor fans on courtside, yes they have got the best seats in the house, but I bet they are melting into their seats.

    Programmes, tickets, tissues, I can see they are using whatever they can find to fan themselves

    Losing match point in the last game had to be a bit of a blow but Evans isn't letting his head go down. He's chasing after every ball and it's working as Basilashvili hits long to bring up 30-30.

    Basilashvili fought back against James Ward in the last round and it looked until the last couple of games he had accepted his fate.

    He's now playing like he was at the start of the match, constructing points well - there was a period where he thought every ball that came to him he had to hit a winner.

    Evans hits a forehand wide and that's it! The mammoth game is over. The Georgian is back in this third set. Surely he can't come back now? Surely?!

    A reminder that Evans had three match points in that game.

    Evans gets Basilashvili on the run but the Georgian is good for it and taps a forehand over the net to bring up break point.

    The Brit picks the perfect time to bring out a serve right on the line and it's back to deuce. Evans is making hard work of this.

    Uh oh. Evans looks a bit tight as he his a forehand into the net to go 0-15 down.

    He comes to the net on the next point and Basilashvili's passing backhand is so fast you can barely see the ball in the London sunshine. 0-30.

    There was a bit of a challenge from Basilashvili but then he throws in errors from second serves and he can't string these winners into groups.

    Dan Evan has been solid throughout - one or two games that were sloppy, but other than that he's been so consistent in all areas.
