    Tennis from another era.

Delicious from Kei Nishikori as she lunges left and right at the net, covering off all Cameron Norrie's avenues and finally knocking the ball beyond the Briton to secure the double break.

Superb stuff, you could watch it all day.

    Federer v Clarke

'Tennis is on the day' - why GB's Clarke believes he can beat Federer

Should world number 169 Jay Clarke pull off an upset today, he would become the lowest-ranked player ever to defeat Roger Federer and just the fourth British player to record a victory against the 20-time Grand Slam champion after Tim Henman, Andy Murray and Greg Rusedski.

How?! Some amazing gets from Evans as he runs back and forth after the ball. It works, though. Basilashvilli hits a forehand wide.

The Georgian can't get the ball over the net on the next point and it's 5-1 to Evans. This has got to be it now, surely. The Brit is two points from the Wimbledon third round.

    Nishikori 6-4 6-4 2-0 *Norrie

The spectator who was taken ill under the roasting sun of Centre Court has been escorted backstage where an IV of peach tea or similar is waiting.

We are ready to play once more. Corrie is a break and two sets south.

  11. Tie-break for Evanspublished at 14:45 BST 4 July 2019

    Evans 6-3 6-2 6-6 Basilashvili

Evans has a glimpse of a chance at 30-30, but Basilashvili pins him back behind the baseline with some booming forehands.

The Brit looks to have control in the next rally, then throws it away as his backhand goes into the net. Tie-break time.

    Evans 6-3 6-2 6-5 Basilashvili*

It's looking v hot on Court Two. And Evans definitely looks hot and bothered as he has another chat with his coaching box.

He must feel pretty irritated that Basilashvili has upped his game just as he was hovering around match point. Not cool, Nikoloz.

Evans perks up with a wonderous one-handed backhand down the line to get to 15-15.

We're just having a break in play on Centre Court as someone in the crowd has been taken ill. I can see them, from a distance, being rapidly fanned by people around them.

We'll just have a little delay while they receive treatment.

    *Evans 6-3 6-2 5-5 Basilashvili

"Ah I've got no challenges!" shouts Evans to the amusement of the crowd as his serve lands out. It turns out it was actually in, but Evans doesn't know that. He could have been at 40-0. Instead, it's 30-15.

  17. Nishikori breakspublished at 14:37 BST 4 July 2019

    *Nishikori 6-4 6-4 1-0 Norrie

Centre Court groans like it has just taken a collective uppercut to the solar plexus.

Cameron Norrie fluffs a very makeable volley as he attempts to save the first of two break points.

The match might well be ebbing away right there. Certainly Norrie needs to do something seriously quickly to staunch the bleeding.

From somewhere Basilashvili has found the resolve to get back to 5-5 from 5-2 down.

Evans hasn't done anything wrong it's just that Basilashvili is a different player.

Not quite Mount Evo-rest... but still plenty of support for the British number three on Henman Hill/Murray Mound/whatever.

Groans meet each of those missed match points. Unless several sunseekers knocked over their plastic cups of Pimms at the same time.
