Image source, Getty ImagesJens Scheuer has come and gone since that 8-0 thrashing, Amy Merricks had two spells as interim boss and now it is Melissa Phillips at the helm.
Phillips, who won her first WSL match in charge against Everton before the Seagulls lost at Liverpool last weekend, says lessons have to be learnt from the heavy loss to Tottenham.
She said: "One of biggest takeaways from that match is our response to scoring or conceding, mentally and tactically after those moments.
"And making sure that moment does not define us and we know what it looks like to keep executing our plan."

Visitors Tottenham ran out 8-0 winners with goals from Molly Bartrip, Nikola Karczewska and doubles for Ashleigh Neville, Drew Spence and substitute Jessica Naz.
Brighton sacked Hope Powell after the match, while it proved a false dawn for Spurs as they proceeded to lose their next nine WSL games.
What will today's game bring?
Tottenham v Brighton (17:15 BST)

A table that will make great reading for Leicester and their supporters.
Less so for Reading, Brighton and Tottenham. Even West Ham might be a little twitchy now.
You can read Adam Millington's report on a massive win for the Foxes here.

I think Leicester controlled the game. From the first five minutes Liverpool didn't look at it.
There was never really a point where Liverpool got into this game and that's credit to Leicester today.
FT: Leicester 4-0 Liverpool
Leicester ran Liverpool ragged in the first half, went in 2-0 up at half-time and quickly made it three after the break.
Liverpool were much improved in the second half but by that stage it was too late.
Missy Goodwin's late goal rounded off a miserable afternoon for the visitors and was the cherry on the cake for Leicester.
They're off the bottom and after two wins in two are suddenly the form team in the relegation battle.

Thoroughly deserved victory for Leicester. That fourth goal caps off a fantastic display.
The fans should be delighted with that, the girls should be delighted with the fact that's a big win in the relegation race.
They've got a couple of tough games coming up but that should leave them in a great place to play West Ham and Brighton.
Leicester 4-0 Liverpool
That was the last action of the game and a dominant performance from Leicester.
They move out of the relegation place and up to 10th!
Missy Goodwin
One more for good measure!
A lovely ball in from Courtney Nevin and Missy Goodwin jumps to head in at the near post.
What an afternoon this has been for Leicester!

The game is winding down now. Even the fans have quietened down. Perhaps they're saving themselves for one last roar at the final whistle.

Ruby Mace has really grown into the game. Courtney Nevin has also had such an influence and has been so consistent from the left-back position.
Leicester 3-0 Liverpool
We're into six added minutes and Leicester are on the brink of a second straight victory to move them off the bottom of the table.
Leicester 3-0 Liverpool
Into the last minute of the 90 and after good strength and a smart turn from Katie Stengel, Carla Humphrey tries her luck from distance.
The shot is on target but simple for Janina Leitzig to save and hold.
Leicester 3-0 Liverpool
The game is up but Liverpool are at least still trying to reduce the deficit.
Katie Stengel holds the ball up in the box, feeds Miri Taylor and she squares for Emma Koivisto.
A first-time shot but it is brilliantly tipped around the post by Janina Leitzig.

Mentality is key, you can see a significant shift for Leicester this season from being defensively-minded to having more of a go. That's the way you need to attack the league. You won't keep up any points if you keep dropping and going deep.
Leicester 3-0 Liverpool
Sometimes it is just not your day! Liverpool so nearly pull a goal back from a corner.
Missy Bo Kearns delivers it and Rhiannon Roberts' close-range header is tipped onto the bar by Janina Leitzig.
Another shot is blocked and then there is some great footwork from Gemma Bonner and a left-foot volley that is too close to Leitzig.
That's as close as Liverpool have come.
