Erin Cuthbert is playing in that number 10 position behind Sam Kerr, she is busy around there.

She has previously been in the holding role alongside Sophie Ingle.

She is ruthless in the tackle, in a good way. She has got so much energy and quality.

Seconds later, Sam Kerr is in thick of it again. She is fed by Erin Cuthbert - who snaps into a tackle and wins possession - but the Aussie drags a shot from distance wide.

Chelsea striker Sam Kerr is already causing all sorts of problems for City with her movement.

She peels off to the right to collect possession and build momentum for her side in the City half.

It has been a really messy start to the game. It's been quite transitional.

What I would expect to see the next five to ten minutes is to see one of those two teams putting their foot on the ball.

There has been chances for both teams in the opening stages.

An early start, but everyone is already wide awake and at it. An exciting start sees Chelsea superstar Sam Kerr stick on the burners and outpace the home defence, hitting a low shot at City keeper Ellie Roebuck.

Heart in mouth moment for Chelsea skipper Magdalena Eriksson, who gets her legs in a tangle as she tries to clear Chloe Kelly's cross from the right.

Fortunately for Eriksson, the ball bounces harmlessly into the hands of her keeper Ann-Katrin Berger.

Lauren Hemp will be key in supplying Bunny Shaw for Manchester City.

For Chelsea, Guro Reiten got that sole goal for Chelsea against Lyon and she is tasked with supplying Sam Kerr in that lone number nine role.

Both players signed around five years ago and they are key to their sides success.

Chelsea straight on the front foot. Guro Reiten backs her marker down the left, getting to the bye-line but chopping her cross onto the roof of the City net.

Both sets of players take a knee before kick-off, met by a huge round of applause.

Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw "can be the best in the world", according to team-mate Alex Greenwood.

Shaw, nicknamed 'Bunny', has been in superb form this season, with her goalscoring exploits sparking comparisons with Erling Haaland.

The 26-year-old has scored 15 Women's Super League goals in 15 games to fire City into title contention.

"Her goal record speaks for itself, but Bunny is so much more than goals," England defender Greenwood told BBC Sport.

"I'm not surprised she's doing what she is doing and she still has so many levels to go to, which is quite frightening to be honest.

"I think she can be the best in the world if she wants to be. She has all the attributes to be the best in the world, I know how hard she works in training."

Sam Kerr is the standout star for Chelsea, but City have an unstoppable forward of their own in Khadija Shaw.

The shootout between that pair could decide today's game, say Fara Williams.
