I am lost for words. The save is incredible from Fraser Forster. He is in that rich vein of firm where you think he will save anything.

Fraser Forster takes some of the plaudits, getting down superbly to tip away a header from the corner from Jay Rodriguez.

After the ball is nodded back to the edge of the six-yard box, though, Wout Weghorst has to score. Somehow he conspires to head against the outside of the post.

Wout Weghorst tries to poke a ball through and into the box, but he can't get enough on it and Fraser Forster is able to come out and gather.

Dwight McNeil is almost in. He beats one man down the right but can't get past a second, Romain Perraud.

James Ward-Prowse drives to the line to reach a Kyle Walker-Peters pass but his cross is gathered easily by Nick Pope.

Burnley come forward again and a cross into the box pings around and drops for Jay Rodriguez. He fires from close range but Fraser Forster pulls out a stunning block.

The ball comes back to Rodriguez but his effort is blocked.

Wout Weghorst gets in down the right but after cutting back past his marker his low effort is saved by Fraser Forster.

That was pretty much Burnley's first attack. Their only real look-in around the Saints box.

This is what Saints do, though. They press high and in numbers and put a side under pressure. The slightest lack of composure and confidence can be exploited.

The first time in almost a decade Burnley have played a game at Turf Moor and Sean Dyche isn't in the dug-out.

He is clearly still remembered though.

Chairman Alan Pace said this in his programme notes.

"There can be no denying it has been a difficult year season on the pitch and results and performances have been disappointing," he said.
