It was great to see the game being stopped so the players observing Ramadan could break their fast this evening.

In the media room there were some dates with the inscription Ramadan Mubarak.

This is a much more positive impression of Burnley than the 'White Lives Matter' banner some of their fans flew over the Etihad Stadium at the beginning of Project Restart.

I don't imagine any Everton fans watching this are going to be enjoying it very much.

There were plenty who thought Burnley were waving the white flag when they sacked Sean Dyche. But they're getting a firm caretaker manager bounce here.

It was tough to see if the ball flicked off Cork from the angle we are shown. The VAR officials clearly don't think it was a clear and obvious error by the on-field ref.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has work to do here. He steps out of his dugout and offers some encouragement for his side.

If It wasn't for Forster, Burnley would have a comfortable 4-0 lead.

Brownhill has been outstanding for Burnley and they seem to be pressing the ball much higher up the pitch than they did previously.

Stuart Armstrong is taken down as he looks to break. It is a yellow card for Jack Cork.

Armstrong is furious. He had room to charge into.

There has been a sharpness about Burnley's play that has been absent whenever I have seen them play recently.

They really look up for it and the crowd are right behind them.

But too many chances are going begging. They need another.

Some lovely play down the right gets Connor Roberts in but his low cross is blocked.

Dwight McNeil then unleashes a low shot that Fraser Forster tips behind. The Saints keeper is an absolute wall.

Strange game this.

Burnley could easily be 2-0 up. But equally, Saints could be winning by the same scoreline.

Again?! Almost a carbon copy of the earlier corner.

Oriol Romeu runs in to meet another James Ward-Prowse corner. Once more, he heads it wide unchallenged. Romeu should have two goals now. No wonder he puts his head in his hands.

Those long Burnley balls behind the Saints defence are causing chaos.

Jay Rodriguez and Maxwell Cornet get in each others way initially after chasing one but after the former's shot is deflected wide the offside flag goes up.

Saints started this game really well. But they're really struggling now.
