    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

Phil Foden puts Palace keeper Vicente Guaita under pressure but he just manages to find a team-mate.

Remember when it used to be a talking point when City wouldn't play a striker. And now it would feel strange if they had a big man up front.

Good early pressure from Conor Gallagher as City try to play it out from the back. Although the champions do keep the ball.

Patrick Vieira is doing a great job at Crystal Palace. They are good to watch going forward, with plenty of width, and he has changed the formation and mentality of the team since taking over from Roy Hodgson - the focus before was being difficult to beat, but now it is on their attacking play.

The Eagles beat Manchester City at Etihad Stadium earlier in the season and I am sure they will have another good go at City on Monday evening.

I still fancy City to come out on top, though. We saw in the Manchester derby how good they can be and I'd be surprised if their levels dropped here. They know they have got Liverpool breathing down their necks.

    Prediction: 0-3

Crystal Palace v Man City (20:00 GMT)

Crystal Palace have won two of their past three league games, as many victories as they enjoyed in their previous 14 (D5, L7).

Palace have lost only one of their last eight matches in all competitions, a 1-0 home league defeat against Chelsea on 19 February.

They have taken one point from their four Premier League home fixtures in 2022.

Crystal Palace are actually doing worse than this time last season in terms of points.

But they are higher in the league (11th v 13th) and further away from the relegation zone (11pts v 8pts).

Kevin de Bruyne has seven goals and three assists in his last 11 Premier League appearances.

Patrick Vieira says he has not spoken to midfielder Michael Olise about his international future, preferring him to keep his focus on Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old has progressed rapidly since signing from Reading last summer and is eligible to play for England, France, Algeria and Nigeria.

"This is the decision he has to make as a player," Senegal-born France legend Vieira said. "It is a family decision and he didn't come to me to ask for any advice.

"He is technical, he is intelligent, he can do a lot of things.

"He is playing well, we love him and he is happy being with us. Hopefully he will be with a for a long, long time.

"There are still a lot of parts of the games that he needs to learn - he has to be better out of possession if he wants to be a complete player.

"But he has an unbelievable work ethic and now it's about how high he wants to go."

Pep Guardiola is treating this game as "a final" and says he appreciates how tough it will be to get three points.

"It is always a difficult place to go and it always has been difficult for us against Palace, home and away," he said.

"They're doing really well. Seeing their run, just one defeat in eight games, it's a final for us, we know it."

Guardiola heaped praise on Palace counterpart Patrick Vieira who is having a successful first season as a Premier League manager.

"He knows perfectly this league, the stadiums, the media, the smell of the competition," Guardiola said.

"He is one of the best players of all times in this league and I'm happy he's going well.

"They have physicality, organisation and and quality up front."

Patrick Vieira says on-loan Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is focused on finishing the season strongly with Crystal Palace, despite the uncertainty surrounding his parent club.

Gallagher has impressed for the Eagles this season, scoring eight goals in 24 Premier League games.

After sanctions were imposed on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, the club are unable to buy or sell players, or offer new contracts.

Vieira said: "We didn't talk about it at all.

"His focus is to finish the season well and finish as well as he started, this is the main concern.

"We spoke about the tactical approach and the game we have on Monday.

"But we know we have him for a year, then he goes back to Chelsea."

City are unbeaten in 13 away league games since losing on the opening weekend against Tottenham (W11 D2).

If they win their remaining five away league fixtures, they will equal the top-flight record for a single - 16, set by Spurs in 1960-61 and matched by City in 2017-18.
