City are probing but Palace force them back and Kevin de Bruyne's pass goes out of play.

The longer it stays at 0-0 the more the belief grows among the Palace squad and the ground.

Almost the breakthrough for City. Marc Guehi heads the ball down to Riyad Mahrez, whose shot is just past the top corner when you expected it to nestle there.

Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate chops down Kevin de Bruyne and gets booked.

Ederson is out of his box well to keep Michael Olise's ball away from Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Manchester City have had 12 attempts on goal, with no City player having more shots than Riyad Mahrez (three).

No chances in the last few minutes though, their attacks are breaking down.

Ooooooh. Palace go close now. Good pressing from the hosts and Wilfried Zaha gets the ball on the edge of the box and shoots high and wide. Ederson was diving but there was no curl on the shot.

Riyad Mahrez plays the ball to Kyle Walker who sees Tyrick Mitchell sliding in. Walker jumps over the tackle thinking he was getting a corner but Mitchell doesn't actually touch the ball so it's a goal-kick. Lol.

City make a mess of the corner and Cheikhou Kouyate is back on.

Palace's Cheikhou Kouyate, who tackled Rodri just as he was shooting there, needs treatment.

A goal is coming surely for City.

Jack Grealish rolls the ball across the area and Bernardo Silva helps it onto Riyad Mahrez, whosse first-time shot is saved.

Now Phil Foden has a shot blocked. So does Rodri for a corner.

Relentless.

To the guy constantly texting in about 'Fraudiola', save your money mate.

City are turning on the style here.

Oh woooooooooof. Manchester City's Joao Cancelo absolutely thunders in a shot from 30 yards which cannons off the post.

Aymeric Laporte shoots the rebound over when he should do better. Laporte may have been offside so that might not have counted - but Cancelo's shot would have.

That was utter class. The ball comes over his left shoulder, he can't even see the goal.

Another brilliant save.

That would have been something else from Kevin de Bruyne.

Joao Cancelo plays a ball over the top and De Bruyne sort of hooks a first-time outside-of-the-boot shot which Vicente Guaita tips over. Really inventive.

Then Phil Foden shoots wide.

Anon: Appreciate what Liverpool have done to narrow the gap but these are the games that City seem to sleepwalk through to 3 points. Not sure Palace will be at the races this evening.

Joao Cancelo with a lovely nutmeg on Joachim Andersen in midfield. If this was on Spanish TV they'd be showing a replay of that for the rest of the game.
