I think it was going wide.

With Burnley pressing in this game they are leaving themselves open. Jadon Sancho has cut inside, taken the shot - I think it's going wide but it's taken a touch off Ben Mee.

    Great play from Sancho.

    Man Utd 2-0 Burnley

Burnley have not won any of their last 22 Premier League away matches when conceding first (D4 L18).

Not looking good for the Clarets is it?

    Jadon Sancho

    It's that extra quality.

Burnley have had their chances - more than the home side - but United have world class players. One of those, Jadon Sancho, drives in from the left, opens his body and slides a low shot inside the far corner.

It may have taken a little flick off the boot of Ben Mee, which could turn it into an own goal. The important thing for the game, though, is that there is now daylight between the sides.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Burnley are right down the other end to win a corner of their own, which they take short before Dwight McNeil hammers the ball into the stand. Poor.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

It takes a punch from Wayne Hennessey, a couple of big blocks and a poor chipped ball into the middle from a central position to see off the danger from the home corner.

Now Aaron Lennon floats a cross to the back post, but there is nobody there. Goal-kick.

Burnley look a threat, you know.

    It was a chance too!

The delivery is good and met by Chris Wood ahead of the goalkeeper. The header loops up, though, before being cleared.

This is a chance for Burnley. A free-kick on the left of the home box...

Jadon Sancho is another man in need of a good game. He's given the ball away a couple of times running down blind alleys. Lack of options in front of him hasn't helped.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Important game for Luke Shaw, this. His place is under threat and he could do with a display to show his worth to a manager who has been critical about him in his pre-Man Utd manager past.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

    Close!

That's better from the home side. Luke Shaw drives forward through the middle with Burnley backing off. He has a hit but sends it into the side-netting.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Burnley try to get Chris Wood in behind the home defence but the pass from a free-kick is just a touch too heavy, allowing David de Gea to come out and gather.

Man Utd haven't really threatened since the goal.

That was Manchester United's fastest goal in the Premier League this season.

Their previous best was Mason Greenwood's 19th-minute effort at Leicester in the middle of October.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Burnley are certainly not being shy here. They're getting stuck in, playing the ball about in the United half, looking to make things happen. Sean Dyche will be happy, you'd imagine, despite the goal.

Richard Browne: Seeing that Ferguson banner . . .you do wonder whether United can ever succeed stuck in the past.

Nathan: Never understood the hate for McTominay from fellow Reds. He’s passionate, puts in a shift and does a job when required. Just not the glamour they sprinkle their midfield with on their games console.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

There will be a stoppage as Johann Berg Gudmundsson lands badly after an aerial challenge. He'll be OK, surely. Just winded.

He's been in the thick of it so far.

Now Aaron Lennon bobbles a shot that David de Gea can gather easily. This feels like a game that is going to have more goal in it.

Apologies in advance for ruining it with that statement.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Burnley look to hit back quickly.

It is worked well down the right and set up for Johann Berg Gudmundsson for a shot that is blocked in the box.

The Clarets have not been without their chances so far. It's a really open game.

    Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

That'll settle the home nerves a bit. They've not looked especially sharp up top under Ralf Rangnick, but now they have the platform.
