Good spell this from the Eagles - Eberechi Eze now releases Christian Benteke behind Rob Holding but after he cuts inside his shot is tame.

The schoolboy Arsenal fan is really coming into the game now - James McArthur clips a pass over the top and Wilfried Zaha's first touch is excellent to carry him into the area. He's on the left of it though and wants to come inside - and loses out.

Almost brilliant! Wilfried Zaha rolls his man about 30 yards out and plays the ball into Christian Benteke. The striker holds it up superbly, before flicking it back into Zaha's path.

He cuts inside, looks to pull the trigger inside the area but Granit Xhaka gets across to make a thumping tackle. Had to get that right and he did.

Better! The first meaningful attempt of the night and Palace keeper Vicenet Guaita gets away with one here.

Piere-Emerick Aubameyang cuts in from the left, evades a challenge and then thumps in a powerful, dipping shot.

It's struck well but straight at the keeper, he can only volleyball it up into the air though, then he comes to punch it away and makes a hash of that as well.

The visitors clear and survive.

It wasn't the best set-piece you'll ever see.

Arsenal now attack down their left, fine pace from skipper Aubameyang but his cross doesn't come to anything.

Just not clicking for either side in the final third.

DJMANNIE: Arsenal playing with so much confidence in this game, that's what winning games brings.

Wilfried Zaha wants a free-kick at one end, gets nothing, and Arsenal come away with pace. Emile Smith-Rowe finds Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left of the area but his cutback is well cut out.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles then plays a terrible backpass, straight out for a corner from the halfway line.

Eberechi Eze fancies it, gets plenty behind his shot but it's always heading over.

Nice from Ebe Eze, who beats his man down the left and then rolls it into Wilf Zaha, in the 10 role. Granit Xhaka is judged to have pulled Zaha back but there wasn't much in that.

It could be a frustrating night for the hosts if they can't find that early breakthrough. Palace look tight back there.

Arsenal have won seven of their eight Premier League matches this season in which they scored the opening goal (W7-D0-L1). The only exception came in the 3-1 away defeat at Liverpool on 28 September.

This is a big game for Arsenal and Crystal Palace but in particular Arsenal, they've been in good form recently, players like Lacazette and Smith-Rowe have been brilliant over the last few weeks.

Palace have not been great defensively this season and will have to try to shut them out this evening.

With 10% of the match gone there's nothing to report - though there is a shot. Andros Townsend shoots with his left foot but that's well over the bar.

Lovely from Dani Ceballos to nutmeg his man on halfway and then spray the ball out wide. Ainsley Maitland-Niles flies up on the underlap but his cross is not up to much. Spannered behind.

In-form Emile Smith-Rowe has started well, popping up on the right of the area but his ball in is plucked by Vicente Guaita.
