Manchester United are making the game harder than it is. Don't get me wrong, Palace are defending really well but you just have to move it quicker from side-to-side and it will pull Crystal Palace apart.

  4. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:56 BST 16 July 2020

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Danny Ings thinks he has equalised for Southampton, running in behind and clipping in via the crossbar but assistant Sian Massey-Ellis has her flag up.

And when Massey-Ellis makes a decision, it is ALWAYS right.

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:55 BST 16 July 2020

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

This set-piece combination for United again.

Bruno Fernandes whipping in the corner for Harry 'Slabhead' Maguire, but the England defender cannot find the target again.

Babyboomer: Man Utd have reverted to their style of play BB (Before Bruno). Defenders push up to the half way line with the ball and the forwards stand still with their backs to goal. They have forgotten that running off the ball is how you find gaps in the defence.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:53 BST 16 July 2020

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Goalscorer Neal Maupay sniffing more goals and goes down in the box as he cuts in from the left, but referee Andre Mariner says no to the penalty appeals.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:52 BST 16 July 2020

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the book for a late challenge on James McArthur.

Could have been a different colour that.

Better from United with a quick break led by Mason Greenwood.

The youngster has both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to pick to his left, but finds neither.

Looks like there is no lasting damage for Harry Maguire and the United captain is able to continue.

That was better from Manchester United but Greenwood - the in-form Greenwood - just scuffed his shot. What Greenwood is doing is pushing right infield, which means McArthur is having to mark him, which means Wan-Bissaka is free. If United can switch it from left to right quickly, it will cause Palace issues.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:46 BST 16 July 2020

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

    Well, this is a surprise.

Anthony Martial does really well to wriggle through and cut the ball to the back post for Mason Greenwood and everything the teenager has touched so far this season and turned to gold.

This, though, is a stinker, scuffing a shot horribly wide from eight yards out.

  15. Postpublished at 20:45 BST 16 July 2020

Not great at the other end from Palace though.

James McArthur misses a simple header in the box and allows the ball to drop for Aaron Wan-Bissaka behind him, but the former Palace man sees his low shot blocked.

    More Palace attacking threat.

The build-up is good from the hosts, working the ball from right to left and James McArthur puts a hanging cross into the area which Wilfried Zaha nods over.

It's been a good game so far. Crystal Palace have took the edge, I would say. They've been more dominate in possession and a lot more in control. But...you can never count Manchester United out with the pace and the ability to counter-attack they have.

  19. 'The lads are devastated'published at 20:40 BST 16 July 2020

    Everton 1-1 Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith on Sky Sports: "The lads are devastated because we deserved more. We took the lead, we had other chances, then we have missed a massive chance.

"Defensively I thought we were good, but the last eight minutes we got sloppy on the ball and didn't take pressure off ourselves.

"I felt we needed to show more composure on the ball. There is massive pressure on us because we know what is at stake.

"We are disappointed but we have to concentrate on our last two games. We are still in it. They are resilient lads and we have got better as the season has gone on."
