  5. Rodgers wants to control own destinypublished at 15:00 GMT 3 November 2018

Celtic v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to ensure his side are back in pole position for the Premiership title.

"We get the victory today, it puts it back into our hands and that's all you ever want as a manager, that you can take care of your own destiny," he tells BBC Scotland.

"We're pleased with our performances in this last month but still a long long way to go.

"Hearts is always a big game and having played them last week in the semi-final we want to have a similar performance."

Asked about potential sanctions for misbehaviour in the aftermath of the Edinburgh derby, he said: "There has to be serious sanctions in place for people, if they think they can throw a coin at a referee, linesman official, player, coach ,manager - you can't do that.

"The only way you discourage that is by putting really tough measures in place for those people responsible."

After the midweek drama at Tynecastle, Hibs boss Neil Lennon says he wants to solely concentrate on issues on the pitch and his players know they will have to perform well to get the better of St Johnstone.

The Perth club are aiming for their fourth successive win in the Premiership - a feat they have not achieved since 2015.

Three of the last four matches between the sides have ended as 1-1 draws with the other match being a 2-1 win for Tommy Wright's side in this corresponding fixture 12 months ago.

Hearts manager Craig Levein is in bullish mood this afternoon as his side face the task of beating Celtic on their own patch.

  8. Supporters should 'self-police' - Wrightpublished at 14:56 GMT 3 November 2018

    Hibernian v St Johnstone (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has emphasised the need for supporters to "self-police" after Hibs counterpart and fellow Northern Irishman Neil Lennon was struck by a coin during Wednesday's Edinburgh derby.

"It’s disgraceful scenes and tarnished Scottish football once again," Wright told BBC Scotland.

"This season, there’s been a lot of positive publicity and all that good publicity is thrown away in moments of madness.

"I’ve seen it before with Neil in terms of the abuse he has to take. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll be the last time. I’m looking forward to seeing him in the dugout, but it’s a problem we need to eradicate from the game.

"The only way of doing it is self-policing. Supporters are going to have to do it or the authorities that come down hard on the clubs involved."

Motherwell are without a home win all season, but having recorded their first win in seven when they beat St Mirren on Wednesday, it’s little surprise Stephen Robinson has stuck with the same team today.

Dundee’s new manager, Jim McIntyre, continues to try to find the right blend for his team, who have conceded 12 and scored none in the three games he’s been in charge.

He’s brought in Sofien Moussa, Andy Boyle and Calvin Miller to replace Ryan Inniss, Roarie Deacon and Benjamin Kallman following the 5-0 thumping by Celtic.

Celtic v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

After Wednesday's howitzer of an Edinburgh derby, manager Craig Levein rotates his squad to keep things fresh.

Striker Steven MacLean returns after being suspended against Hibs for grabbing the testicles of Celtic's Eboue Kouassi.

Also in are Demetri Mitchell, Harry Cochrane and Jake Mulraney for a rare start. Ben Garuccio, Callumn Morrison, Olly Lee and Oliver Bozanic drop to the bench.

Celtic stick with the same team that thumped Dundee 5-0 midweek. They're looking to narrow the gap on Hearts to just one point with a fifth straight league win.
