  4. Rangers third, Buddies under threatpublished at 14:31 GMT 3 November 2018

    FT: St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

That win not only ends a run of three games without a win for Rangers but takes Steven Gerrard's side up to third in the Premiership table above Kilmarnock, who play tomorrow.

In contrast, it means St Mirren have lost seven games in a row since taking a point in Oran Kearney's first game in charge and remain three points behind Hamilton in second bottom.

They Paisley side could end the day six behind Accies, who host Livingston, or even bottom should Dundee win away to Motherwell.

Stay with us for reaction from Paisley - and how the rest of the results pan out.

  5. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-2 Rangerspublished at 14:22 GMT 3 November 2018

    What a finish that was...

Daniel Candeias goes from hero to zero, opening the scoring but then being sent off in the dying seconds.

For so long, it looked like St Mirren might take a point they would argue their battling qualities merited.

But, in the end, Rangers' growing pressure gave them a win they thoroughly deserved.

  6. RED CARD - Daniel Candeias (Rangers)published at 14:22 GMT 3 November 2018

    St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

Daniel Candeias is given his marching orders.

It appears he was booked for his own goal celebrations and then shown a second yellow by Willie Collum for aggressive behaviour apparently.

    Silly boy!

St Mirren look a bit stretched. They need to throw caution to the wind in the last minutes of this match. They have not been a creative force in this second half

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard looks to tighten up his midfield as he brings on Jordan Rossiter for Ovie Ejaria.

  11. CLOSE!published at 85mins

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

Daniel Candeias has a chance for a second goal, but the winger just fails to connect with a cute back-heel from a Alfredo Morelos cross.

Any touch and that would probably have been a goal.

  12. Tough pill to swallowpublished at 14:12 GMT 3 November 2018

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

    Jane Lewis
BBC Sport Scotland at St Mirren Park

St Mirren will be devastated at losing that goal. They were defending heroically, a blow definitely.

Interesting to see how they react to that. Presumably, it’ll give Rangers a positive boost after being frustrated at missing a host of chances.

  13. Cooke on for Mullenpublished at 82mins

    St Mirren 0-1 Rangers

St Mirren boss Oran Kearney freshens up his front line, with Englishman Cody Cooke sent on in place of Danny Mullen.

Can the home side rescue a point?

  14. goal

GOAL St Mirren 0-1 Rangerspublished at 79mins

    Daniel Candeias

Just as we were singing St Mirren's praises, they fall behind out of the blue, but was it a cross or shot?

Whatever it was, substitute Daniel Candeias' strike from the right-hand side of the penalty box dips wickedly over goalkeeper Craig Samson and into the roof of the net.

All the St Mirren players have played brilliantly today. If they can hang on, it would be a great result for them. You can see the frustration of the Rangers supporters. What can Steven Gerrard do to ignite his team?
