    Lyon 0-0 Barcelona

"Dembele has a chance" my colleague helpfully shouts over. Unfortunately both teams have a forward called Dembele.

It's Barcelona's Ousmane who almost scored, turning a defender one way and then the other, before forcing a save from Anthony Lopes.

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita tries an ambitious flying volley which goes well wide. Was worth a go. I suppose. Maybe.

There was not one Liverpool player saying to Alisson 'what are you doing?' If Virgil van Dijk was on the pitch he might have got a bit of a telling off.

Andy Robertson punts a long ball down the left which Sadio Mane can't reach. Even Usain Bolt wouldn't have reached that.

It was a great ball from Naby Keita to Sadio Mane. But what he needed from Andy Robertson was a big shout of 'wait, wait, wait', and he would have had a free shot at goal.

Now Lionel Messi goes close with a first-time side-foot finish from inside the area, but it goes just past the post.

Chance for Barca now but Ivan Rakitic puts a shot wide from 20 yards out.

Let-off for Liverpool. Alisson takes too long to make a decision and his clearance is blocked by Robert Lewandowski. The ball makes its way to Kingsley Coman, who slams into the side-netting.

Chance for Liverpool. A quick move sees Roberto Firmino feed Sadio Mane on the left. Andrew Robertson runs alongside him but Mane goes alone and drives it wide of the near post.

Joel Matip almost scores the opener... for Bayern Munich. Serge Gnabry crosses from the right and the Liverpool defender blasts the ball straight at the chest of Alisson from six yards out as he tries to stop Robert Lewandowski. The keeper knew nothing about it.

Moments later Joshua Kimmich has a shot blocked.

Liverpool's first big chance of the game. Jordan Henderson lifts a ball into the box, Mohamed Salah slips in behind Niklas Sule and he stretches for the ball but it's right at the keeper.

Bayern seem to play really slowly around their goalkeeper, they're patient, but when they get into areas they can hurt Liverpool play really quickly. Robert Lewandowski's feet and movement so far have been outstanding.

Free-kick to Liverpool as Georginio Wijnaldum is fouled. A good atmosphere at Anfield as you'd expect. Trent Alexander-Arnold lifts the free into the mixer but it's headed clear.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:10 GMT 19 February 2019

    Lyon 0-0 Barcelona

Barca keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen shows why he is arguably the top goalkeeper in the world (although I'm sure both keepers in tonight's other game would argue against it).

Martin Terrier hits a long-range piledriver for Lyon which MATS tips onto the crossbar. A bright start for the hosts.

  15. Bayern settling down?published at 20:09 GMT 19 February 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Anfield

An encouraging start for Liverpool, who are sending both full-backs forward on raids up the flanks, and are penning Bayern in with the intensity of their pressing around the visitors' area.

Bayern look a lot more composed when they are passing it around the half-way line, though, and they have just had a long spell of possession to help to settle any nerves.

Robert Lewandowski has started on the right side against Fabinho. Liverpool's centre-halves have swapped now but no doubt Lewandowski will follow Fabinho all over the place, to keep Joel Matip thinking.
