I'm guessing this is a Beatles reference. I wonder if I'm the only person above the age of 30 never to have listened to a Beatles album?

It'll be different without the big man there, the Rolls Royce, as Iike to call him. Virgil van Dijk has been outstanding, we all know that, but sometimes when you're given a chance, like Joel Matip tonight, there's a sense of responsibility. He has to take charge tonight.

I think sometimes when he plays with Van Dijk or Lovren, he's kind of outshone, so tonight he has to be in charge of that back four, and I think he likes that.

It'll be easier playing against Matip and Fabinho but it's not going to be easy.

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Anfield

    Anfield

It’s a chilly and wet evening at Anfield, with the steady drizzle the only thing to be illuminated by the Anfield lights at the moment.

With around an hour to go until kick-off, most of the pitch-side broadcasters are still sheltering under umbrellas - branded with the Champions League logo of course - until they go live.

Behind them, some Bayern fans who are into their seats early have just burst into life after some of the German side’s players who are not involved tonight - the suspended Thomas Muller among them - emerge on to the pitch, wearing very big coats.

Jurgen Klopp is hoping his side’s supporters do something similar when the game kicks off - saying this week that they can take his side "from 100% to 140% - but admits his players will need to help the crowd get going if they are to create the sort of atmosphere that this place is renowned for on European nights.

"We have to create an atmosphere on the pitch and make it easier for the people," said Klopp. "It will be outstanding. It's something to enjoy - there's a lot of power involved in the atmosphere."

No Philippe Coutinho in the starting line-up for Barcelona, but Luis Suarez is restored in place of Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Barca XI: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba, Roberto, Busquets, Rakitic, Dembele, Suarez, Messi.

League over Old Big Ears. We have won it 5 times and need to get to 21 titles to cement our position as England's best.

    Neil, Cheltenham

Prefer to win the champions league, it held more mystique for me as a youngster - when English teams were band from Europe.

    Tim, Liverpool

Premier League title would trump Champions League. The run was special last year, but winning the league would finally shut the Manchester United supporters up. Too many sleepless nights thanks to City though!

This debate is open to everyone, not just Liverpool fans - we want to know which one you'd prefer to win out of the Premier League or Champions League.

  14. 'Premier League > Champions League for Liverpool fans'published at 18:40 GMT 19 February 2019

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (20:00 GMT)

Liverpool have won 18 English titles and five European Cups.

But their last league title came in 1990, before the Premier League was even formed (if young readers can imagine such a time). They won the Champions League most recently in 2005, losing another two finals since then.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was asked which one would be more important to win this season - with Liverpool's domestic title hopes in their own hands.

"It’s difficult for me to answer the question exactly the same, if you would have to decide for all Liverpool fans it’s the Premier League, that’s clear," he said.

"But now we play Champions League and I think we all expect that we have to do our best on Tuesday night…thank God we don’t have to make that decision today.”

Liverpool v Bayern Munich (20:00 GMT)

The teams should be named soon enough, but here's what we should be looking out for.

Liverpool are without suspended Virgil van Dijk, with fellow centre-back Dejan Lovren a doubt with a hamstring injury.

Roberto Firmino is also a potential absentee with a virus. He missed training on Monday.

Bayern are without defender Jerome Boateng, who has an upset tummy (the technical term).

Franck Ribery barely slept on Sunday night after his daughter was born so is another doubt. Thomas Muller is suspended.
