That was an entertaining first over! Some brilliant shots by Roy, but a really good comeback by Buvneshwar, with a big in-swinger back through the gate. India get Roy early.

All the drama in the first over!

Another one cutting in from Bhuvneshwar and he clips the top of Roy's stump.

Roy may have set the tone in the first five balls but that could be a decisive wicket.

  5. Eng 14-0published at 0.5 overs

Another lovely shot from Roy, clipping one that's coming in off his legs for a third boundary.

  6. Eng 8-0published at 0.2 overs

    A signal of intent?

Roy punches Bhuvneshwar down the ground for successive fours.

  7. Eng 4-0published at 0.1 overs

That's quite a way to start!

Timed to perfection through the covers from Roy, straight to the ropes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar opening up for India, as if it was going to be anyone else.

Jason Roy faces up, Jonny Bairstow down the non-striking end - evidently the hand injury he picked up fielding wasn't too serious.

Right then, here we go. India are huddled on the outfield, they know this first ten overs could be decisive.

Roy and Bairstow put on 110 in just over 16 overs on Friday.

Can I just check, I live in Essex so I've stated my name as Phil, Essex, but I'm getting grief from friends from home in Dorset for not signing off with my home county. What is the correct protocol?

It will make for entertaining viewing if England carry on where they left off in the second game. One change is India shuffling their bowling, bringing in Natarajan for Kuldeep.

For those of you asking, this is the first time seven different bowlers have taken a wicket for England in an ODI.

It was a really good effort for Wood to suck it up. To return 3-34 in those conditions is really impressive.

Mark Wood was clearly suffering. It is an exceptionally hot day in Pune. The end of the innings was where England really pulled it back and he took 3-6 in two overs.

They way India started, they came out attacking. They showed a change of intent, because they have been quite reserved. They have seen how England have batted and decided they needed an even bigger total.

It's a challenging score, but these days 330 in an ODI doesn't feel so bad.

Good effort England to take out the tail like that. Now go out and knock it off like you did on Friday.

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya: "We would have liked a few runs more. At one point we thought we could have got 360. Myself and Rishabh got out at the wring time, otherwise it could have been a different story.

"We didn't get what we expected for the team. We have to be OK with whatever we got.

"We have to make it as difficult as possible. We have to be smart. If we bowl in the right areas, it could be a tight game."

They set a reasonable platform and were 256-4 in the 36th over.

You can't really blame that long tail though. Too many India batsmen got in and then got out. They'd have been eyeing 350 but have fallen short.
