Liverpool free-kick, fairly central but too far out to shoot so Dominik Szoboszlai clips it into the box.

Ibrahima Konate heads it goalwards but it loops gently into the arms of Ugurcan Cakir.

Good save from the Liverpool keeper and the visitors clear the corner as well.

The counter-attack looks promising but Dominik Szoboszlai's pass is cut out at the key moment.

There is so much space and Liverpool have exploited it but they've lacked that cutting edge in front of goal.

You have to think that'll change if Galatasaray keep presenting them with chances.

But it's at the other end that they'll be concerned.

Mac Allister should have taken that opportunity to score himself. Another chance missed for Liverpool.

Liverpool are creating opportunities but there is that element of danger and turn over of possession that Liverpool have been susceptible to.

Superbly worked by Liverpool but Florian Wirtz's first-time shot is straight at Ugurcan Cakir.

He was in space but Wirtz didn't strike it cleanly as the pass bobbled towards him inside the box.

Nice move prior to that.

Liverpool are just not standing up defensively.

Osimhen is such a threat, he just didn't get enough purchase on that header.

The pressure has been exceptional from Liverpool.

The problem is if they miss the press-out, there are dangerous players who have pace to burn. That is a concern for Liverpool.

The only positive for Liverpool so far is that Galatasaray look just as open at the back as they do.

Far too easy for Galatasaray!

Cross from the left and it's a free header for Victor Osimhen at the back post.

He nods it wide of the far post and it's a real let off for Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk to the rescue for Liverpool.

Galatasaray get in down the right and the visitors' skipper does well to block the pass with Victor Osimhen waiting in the middle.

The Galatasaray fans cannot believe what the yare seeing.

The corner kick came into the back post area - how Mac Allister has picked that up is beyond me!

Liverpool didn't make the most of those early opportunities that Galatasaray presented them and, with their first attack, the hosts punish them.
