    Oh my word! Pete Carroll knows his Seattle Seahawks need a boost after losing six of the last seven, and dialling up the fake punt this early in the game and deep in their own half will definitely get the juices flowing.

    Especially when it pays off!

    Travis Homer takes a direct snap and he's off the races right away, with strangely no 49ers in sight, and he's able to beat just one man as he goes 73 to the house for a crazy opening score.

    An ugly first series by Baltimore, who got away with a massive muffed snap when a delay of game was called, but they don't make the most of it as Lamar Jackson throws an interception in the end zone.

    Jackson had four picks last week and on his last trip to Heinz Field threw three so it's not exactly a favoured venue for the former MVP.

  8. Brady fires again for pass-happy Bucs

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-17 Atlanta Falcons

    The Tampa Bay Buccaneers improved to 9-3 as they continue the defence of their Super Bowl title, with Tom Brady throwing the ball 51 times and landing four TD passes and 368 yards in yet another prolific performance.

    Coach Bruce Arians obviously has no doubts over Brady's 44-year-old arm with the amount he's throwing the ball, and his accuracy is still good especially to Rob Gronkowski, who scored another two TDs.

    The duo's tally now stands at 90 regular season touchdowns and only Payton Manning to Marvin Harrison is a more effective combination in NFL history.

    The Lions have just under two minutes to salvage a win which looked theirs for the taking and Jared Goff shows excellent clock management to get them within striking range with four seconds left.

    It's 4th & 2 on Minnesota's 11-yard line... Goff fires it towards Amon-Ra St. Brown in the end zone, the rookie receiver has two men in close proximity, but they're not close enough and he hangs on to clinch Detroit's first win of the season.

  10. Murray shines on Cardinals return

    Arizona Cardinals 33-22 Chicago Bears

    Kyler Murray returned from injury in spectacular fashion as he threw for two touchdowns and ran in two himself as the Cardinals became the first team to get to 10 wins this season.

    Arizona retain the NFL's best record but apart from Murray they showed their all-round ability with another strong defensive performance when picking off Bears QB Andy Dalton four times.

    DeAndre Hopkins also returned from injury to take a spectacular touchdown pass to open the game.

    Deon Jackson gets in from three yards to wrap up a convincing win for the Indianapolis Colts, who improve to 7-6 and are now just one win off the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South.

    Great start to our late games as Brandon Powell takes the opening kick-off 65 yards to set the rams up with brilliant field position against the Jags.

    Los Angeles need a big game after their losing run and they've started off as if they mean business.

    Agony for Detroit's long-suffering fans.

    Kirk Cousins finds Justin Jefferson in space in the end zone for a three-yard touchdown to put the Vikings in front for the first time since the first quarter.

    Jefferson now has a whopping 182 yards from 11 receptions today. Just 1:54 left.

    Miami stretch their lead back to 11 with a Jason Sanders field goal and they'll chalk up their fifth straight win.

    They're just the fourth team in NFL history to make a 1-7 start and then improve to 6-7.

    That should be that in Atlanta as Ryan Succop makes a 31-yarder with just a minute and 20 seconds left to play and the Falcons needing a TD and field goal.

    Arizona Cardinals 33-22 Chicago Bears

    Jakeem Grant catches a touchdown pass from Andy Dalton, who has no choice but to sling it around, and they also get the two-point conversion but failing to get the onside kick recovered means Arizona have the ball near midfield and just over two minutes left.

    Dalton has 218 yards and two TD passes now but has thrown a costly four interceptions.

  17. Vikings pull off strip sack

    Minnesota Vikings 21-23 Detroit Lions

    Oh no, is this going to slip away from Detroit?

    Jared Goff throws an interception in the Minnesota half and although the Lions defence then forces the Vikings to punt, Goff fumbles as he's sacked on 4th & 1.

    The Vikings recover it on Detroit's 19-yard line with just over four minutes left.

    Los Angeles Chargers 38-22 Cincinnati Bengals

    Austin Ekeler has lost a couple of fumbles but he's now scored what could be the decisive score with his short rushing TD taking the Chargers 16 points clear inside the final 10 minutes.

    You'd think that should be enough but never say never in the NFL.

    Game over in Chicago as Kyler Murray runs in his second touchdown of the game, again untouched as tight end Zach Ertz came across the formation and then kicked out to take out the only defensive back available to tackle Murray.

    The Cardinals QB is just so dangerous from close range due to his elusive style, but also because they have the likes of James Conner who can punch in a hrd-run TD at any time. You can't cover everyone!
