Sean Turner: Has anybody mentioned the great spat between Grobelaar and Stevie Mac back in the day?

Brucey seems to be a popular call, with a number of team-mates. Maybe it's a thing with 'keepers, I've heard that Peter Schmeichel was a bit of a hot head as well, him and Eric Cantona used to have handbags rather regularly.

A lesson in preparation by Mr Guardiolapublished at 14:34 BST 16 September 2016

Man City v Bournemouth (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

You know that feeling when someone says something and you think it is not entirely accurate?

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was expanding on his views about the game.

It was very technical but fascinating to hear from one of the world's top coaches.

Basically, he said recovery is as important as preparation and players must be careful they eat the right things, drink the right fluids and get enough risk.

If they don't, he argued, they run the risk of getting injured and losing their place.

The choice, according to Guardiola, is the player's.

Except it isn't. Not if the example of Samir Nasri being prevented from playing in pre-season because he returned from his summer break overweight is any guide.

"I'm lost for words. In 2012 I was fortunate enough to get a silver and bronze and now all the hard work has paid off.

"I had to deal with lane eight - it's not ideal but I had to take it. I was aware we were on 49 golds - now it's 50 it's incredible what everyone has done and it's nice to help out."

    'I'm happy for an hour, then I worry'published at 14:22 BST 16 September 2016

Man City v Bournemouth (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

    Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has just given an interesting insight into his perfectionist nature.

Asked whether he gives himself time to feel satisfied after a result, the answer was "not really".

"After half an hour, or an hour I am so happy. Then I start to think and worry about what is going to happen.

"At 3pm tomorrow we have to start again. Then the past is the past. There are no guarantees about what is going to happen."

Next up, an insight into his ego, or lack thereof.

When it is put to him that Roy Keane has said that he is the Special One, not Jose Mourinho, Guardiola summed up what that meant to him in one word.

    "Nothing."

That's Great Britain's 49th official medal in Rio - but really it's their 50th, as they are guaranteed gold in the team dressage.

De Laet, 27, who signed from Leicester City in August, went off in the 67th minute of Villa's 1-1 draw against Brentford on Wednesday.

"We will have to make more assessments with him, but it looks right now like he will need surgery," Di Matteo said.

"We need to see what damage he has on the knee. He will be out for a while."
