  1. Lowry concludes memorable third roundpublished at 23:45 BST 11 April

    Lowry -9 (68), Fleetwood -4 (73)

Shane Lowry is a ball width from reaching 10 under as his putt shimmies across the green and rests a few inches from the cup.

It's been quite a day for Lowry, who became the first player to record two aces at the Masters back on the sixth and is right in the mix for Sunday.

  2. Rose just shortpublished at 23:43 BST 11 April

    Reed -7, Rose -8, (17)

Justin Rose has absolute miles to putt on 17 but he's almost holed it you know, as it's tracking all the way but just pulls up a few rolls short of dropping.

That would've been ironic given how he's putted today.

  3. Postpublished at 23:43 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12, Burns -10 (16)

McIlroy has a tiny gap if he goes high through the trees, but he opts to bunt one under the branches and run it up to the green.

Wow. His ball fizzes through the green at great speed and he has a seriously difficult chip coming up.

He did chip in here yesterday of course but I can't see him repeating it.

Burns' approach comes in straight over the pin, leaving him a rapid birdie putt.

  4. Li just enjoying himselfpublished at 23:41 BST 11 April

    Li -7 (69)

Li Haotong on his round today: "Still battling. Didn't expect actually to get such a great result today. just want to have a nice Sunday."

On enjoying his first Masters since 2019: "I think the most important is I so enjoyed Wednesday with my mom. Also my mom is very pleased as well.

"Obviously met Kevin Hart in person, and felt like it was still a more important Wednesday than a golf tournament."

    Lowry -9, Fleetwood -4 (17)

"Get back up there," shouts Shane Lowry as he tries to carve one in from the upslope on the 18th fairway.

His approach is on the money and he'll have a birdie putt from just over 20 feet.

  6. Postpublished at 23:37 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12, Burns -10 (16)

Another hook off the tee from McIlroy.

His ball goes scuttling through the trees and looks to have stopped uncomfortably close to one of those mighty Georgia Pines.

    That may be a chip-out.

Burns stripes one up the fairway.

  7. Postpublished at 23:33 BST 11 April

    Lowry -9, Fleetwood -4 (17)

Shane Lowry has a wedge in hand and finds the dance floor at the 17th.

Both the Irishman and Tommy Fleetwood will have birdie putts incoming.

Neither find their putter running hot though.

Lowry's effort starts right and shifts back left way quicker than he was expecting. "What," shouts the former Open champion.

  8. Pars at 16published at 23:33 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12, Burns -10 (16)

McIlroy needs to give his birdie putt a good whack. Yep, job done there. Good lag up the hill.

A stress-free par, but he'd love to sneak another birdie over the last two holes.

Burns' birdie try is a tad weak but he makes no mistake with his three-footer for par.

  9. Rose just shortpublished at 23:30 BST 11 April

    Reed -7, Rose -8, (16)

Justin Rose is a foot away from his tee shot on 16 being really good and falling down towards the hole. He still hits a great putt from the fringe but it just pulls up short of the hole when it was bang on line.

He still looks like he's enjoying it out there even though there must be some frustration at not being able to get anything to drop on the greens.

  10. Postpublished at 23:30 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12, Burns -10 (15)

Rory has the seven-iron out at 16. A natural drawer of the ball, a right-hand pin position doesn't really fit his eye and he catches the wrong side of the ridge.

The ball sets off down the slope and the leader will have one of the slowest putts on the property.

Sam Burns finds the right level and he will have a Cameron Young-esque putt for a two.

  11. 'McIlroy will be happy with this score'published at 23:26 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12 (15)

    Trish Johnson
Former Europe Solheim Cup player on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think [McIlroy] will be very happy to get in here with this score.

  12. McIlroy retakes solo leadpublished at 23:25 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -12, Burns -10 (15)

Superb effort from McIlroy. His eagle putt just runs out of speed but that's a tap-in birdie. Two in a row. A good response to a mini-crisis around Amen Corner.

Sam Burns played a nifty little chip from off the back of the green and has around 12 feet for birdie. No, he doesn't start it high enough and that's just a five.

  13. Closing bogey for Lipublished at 23:24 BST 11 April

    Li -7 (69)

Li Haotong ends his round on a sour note with a bogey on 18 dropping him to seven under after at one point getting to nine under before some scruffy holes on the back nine.

As with a lot of these players though he'll feel he's right in with a shout tomorrow.

  14. Rose recovery just falls shortpublished at 23:21 BST 11 April

    Reed -7, Rose -8, (15)

Justin Rose was off the reservation with a snap hook off the 15th tee, but he played a great escape over the trees and then a fine pitch across the water off a downslope sees him in there nice a tight.

But yet again he can't bury the putt so misses out on what would've been an incredible birdie.

  15. 'Unbelievable'published at 23:21 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -11 (14)

    Trish Johnson
Former Europe Solheim Cup player on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Unbelievable.

[McIlroy] just has that ability to get the ball to come down so softly, which other players don’t have.

  16. McIlroy sets up eagle chancepublished at 23:21 BST 11 April

    McIlroy -11, Burns -10 (14)

Right Rory, it's time to hit a fairway on a par-five. Yep, nailed that one. 340 yards.

And he's walking after his second. We've seen that before on this hole. He launches his ball into the stratosphere and it lands softly into the heart of the green.

Eagle putt coming up. Could this be his turning point? He eagled this hole in the third round last year, remember.

Sam Burns sends a beauty out there too but flies his second too far and he'll have a treacherous chip for his third.

  17. Day in contentionpublished at 23:19 BST 11 April

    Day -8 (68)

He may have been overshadowed by Cameron Young but Jason Day has had a very tidy day indeed, shooting 68 with six birdies and two bogeys putting him on eight under after 54 holes.

Day won't be too far away when he tees off tomorrow and don't count out the experienced Australian who has finished runner-up here before and can go low at Augusta.

  18. Postpublished at 23:17 BST 11 April

    Lowry -9, Fleetwood -4 (16)

No ace this time around from Shane Lowry but right now a par is also pretty precious on the 16th.

He remains two shots back and as we've seen over the last few hours that really is nothing around Augusta National.

  19. Postpublished at 23:12 BST 11 April

    Lowry -9, Fleetwood -4 (15)

Brilliant from Shane Lowry. He may well be in the drop zone but his pitch on is in to five feet and he saves his par. That could prove invaluable.
