What a round Lucas Herbert has put together. Nine birdies and just the one bogey - which came at the very last hole.
A front nine of 28 equals the Open record.
The Australian came within a whisker of breaking new ground at a men's major.
He leads the Open by two shots.

Oh dear, is Collin Morikawa on the slide as the wind swirls a little more at Royal Birkdale?
Back-to-back bogeys for the American after he misses the green with his approach shot at the 16th.
The 29-year-old has a 13-foot putt to rescue par after chipping on but overcooks it and drops a shot.

Rory McIlroy played the par fives poorly yesterday, carding two sixes when he needed birdies.
But he's in better form today, and despite having to lay up after missing the fairway, he rolls in a lovely downhill 25-footer to move one under for the championship and three under for the round.
Sadly, Matt Fitzpatrick can only manage a five and he needs to produce something spectacular over the final four holes if he's to stick around for the weekend.

Lucas Herbert strides up the 18th fairway and assesses where his tee shot came to rest.
He'll get a free drop into the wispy rough, as his ball finished up underneath a metal barrier which separates the spectators from the players.
About 170 yards or so to the flag.
It lands about 20 yards short of the green. Down in two from there for a record-breaking 61.

He takes a drop and lines up a shot which is going to whistle right past my eyes.

Aaron Rai is lingering close to the likely projected cut.
So the Wolverhampton man picked an opportune moment to bounce back from a bogey at the 13th with a birdie at the 15th.
Rai's tee shot at the par three is right on the money and leaves him with a comfortable putt from just over three feet which he duly sinks.

Sam Burns tickles one up the slope just off the 16th green and judges the pace to absolute perfection as it tracks towards the flags then just dies into the hole on it's last roll.
The American is flying today as he's currently six under and heading for a superb round of 64 - although Lucas Herbert is making that seem just ordinary today.

It's good to see the Italian back playing well. When he won the Open in 2018, he went bogey-free over the weekend at the always-fearsome Carnoustie, so he knows how to move it around the links.
