I've grown up with Lewis Hamilton in the Silver Arrows, in the Mercedes and it was so beautiful to watch, his mindset and how he carries himself. It would be amazing to see him battle his old team for the title in the scarlet red Ferrari - that would be cool to see, it would be emotional for me, he is a living legend. I would love to see that. Who knows what will happen but he is doing everything right, putting himself in the window to be there by the end of the season.

    Lap 60/66

The two Mercedes are in a race of their own in second and third. Kimi Antonelli has the boost to get near to George Russell's rear wing, but the polesitter keeps him at arm's length for another lap.

It might not be for long, though...

If Lewis Hamilton does continue this pace with 10 laps to go, he will close the gap from 66 down to 56 points between himself and Kimi Antonelli.

That 106th career victory is almost, almost in the hands of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. His engineer thinks this is a good time to give him some information but no, the 41-year-old tells him to leave him to it. He wants Zen-like conditions in the Ferrari.

Ferrari are looking for their first win since Mexico 2024. A couple of seasons ago. Hamilton has had huge success around this circuit. His last win was in Belgium 2024 and if he wins here it will be his seventh win around this circuit, in his 106 career victories. Hugely impressive.

Kimi Antonelli has already been warned about track limits, so he needs to be careful as he chases down George Russell for second place. The Italian hasn't found a spot to jump on his team-mate Russell just yet, but he is continuing to follow the Briton closely.

    Lap 57/66

The race has settled down now, and Lewis Hamilton, with another fastest lap under his cockpit, has a 12-second buffer from George Russell. Kimi Antonelli is 14 seconds back on the Ferrari - but now he's creeping up on his Mercedes team-mate Russell.

Lewis Hamilton leads by 10 seconds over George Russell - he's inching nearer to a first win for Ferrari in a grand prix. He's got sprint pole and a victory in China last year, but it's been a long wait for the main prize with the Scuderia.

George Russell is informed he needs to pick up the pace here. The Briton has fallen 10 seconds behind leader Lewis Hamilton - and Kimi Antonelli is mighty close in third.

Over at McLaren, they've spotted the teenage title leader Antonelli is taking a few liberties with track limits, and they've reported it to the big wigs.

Someone we haven't mentioned in a bit is Charles Leclerc. He was really carving his way through the field but once he's got behind Max Verstappen, he's stagnated a bit. Not being able to make progress on Verstappen who is on a different strategy. The gap ebbing and flowing between them. He's kind of struggling out there after about Lap 30 onwards really.

Engineer: "Our race is having better pace over the whole stint than the cars ahead"

Norris: "I just said pace zero. Like either I go with them or I drop back... it's gone. I can't do both. I'm afraid"
