Ipswich under all kinds of pressure here.

Alex Neil will be delighted with the Lions' start - now they need to make it count.

  6. 'It's going to be attack against defence now'published at 13:13 GMT 26 December 2025

The emphasis is really going to change in this game now, Blues were on top anyway but now it's going to be like attack against defence now.

Derby really haven't defended with any conviction, it's been last-ditch stuff from Derby, but there's going to be more emphasis from the home crowd to get the ball forward.

  7. RED CARD FOR JOE WARD (Derby County)published at 13:10 GMT 26 December 2025

    Big moment here!

After Callum Elder's free-kick was punched out by Birmingham keeper James Beadle, Patrick Roberts breaks and has his heels clipped by Joe Ward.

Ward has already been booked and the referee reaches for a second yellow meaning Derby will have to play the remaining 50 minutes plus additional time with 10 men!

Tomoki Iwata looks to forage a route to the byeline but Derby snuff out the danger.

At the other end, Patrick Agyemang gets his body in front of Marc Leonard and draws a foul.

Free-kick in a promising position here for the visitors.

  9. Postpublished at 13:08 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

Bright start by Millwall, with Tristan Crama bombing down the right flank a couple of times - but on this occasion it's centre-back Jake Cooper who storms forward to create a chance.

Cooper's low cross finds Mihailo Ivanovic, who flicks goalwards but Ipswich keeper Christian Walton flings himself across to push the ball clear.

How will Birmingham respond to that goal?

They have looked less of a threat since Demarai Gray, who hit the post early on, had to be replaced because of injury.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:03 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

Joe Ward is the first man in the book today for a foul on Birmingham's Paik Seung-ho.

  12. 'They've been sucker-punched'published at 13:01 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

It's their first shot on target, Blues were calling for a penalty at the other end.

I wonder if James Beadle was in no-man's land a bit there, they've been sucker-punched because Blues have been dominant so far.

We're trying to pick holes in Blues' defending but it's a good counter-attacking goal from the visitors.

    The classic counter-attack!

It is brilliantly done by the visitors who strike first on Boxing Day.

After Birmingham appeal for handball in the box at the other end, a well directed long pass finds Rhian Brewster and the former Liverpool youngster's ball into the box is a beauty for Patrick Agyemang who heads home past James Beadle via the post.

Millwall have made three changes from the side that lost 2-0 at Blackburn, with forward Macaulay Langstaff handed a rare start along with Joe Bryan and Caleb Taylor.

Thierno Ballo, Danny McNamara and Zak Sturge all drop to the bench for the home side.

Ipswich are without striker George Hirst, who went off with a groin injury during their win against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

Ivan Azon comes in to replace Hirst, with Town boss Kieran McKenna making one other change as Kasey McAteer makes the starting line-up in place of Sindre Egeli.

  18. 'Roberts has looked the man most likely to score'published at 12:55 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Derby

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Patrick Roberts has looked the man most likely to score, I thought he was going to find the corner of the net there.

Roberts loves it when a big man comes across to try to cover him because his feet are so quick, he looks annoyed he didn't score there.

When he gets the ball you sense Derby's defence clenching.

  19. Postpublished at 12:53 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Derby

Patrick Roberts continues to be a thorn in the Derby side and he cuts inside on his left foot before hitting a shot from a tight angle but it is right down the throat of Rams keeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

Blues have lost a little bit of their sting since Demarai Gray left the pitch.

But they do clearly trust Lewis Koumas, he's been given the ball four times, and so far he's been positive with trying to get crosses in.
