  1. 'Whatever a Blues fan would like for Christmas'published at 13:53 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Whatever a Blues fan would like for Christmas, right here, right now, a first league goal for Kyogo Furuhashi would be up there.

  2. DOUBLE SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:52 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

    Double change for the hosts.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Alfons Sampsted are on for Marvin Ducksch and Eiran Cashin.

  3. 'Is it going to be one of those games?'published at 13:51 GMT 26 December 2025

    HT: Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

Is it going to be one of those games where the first goal, if there is one, will tell the story?

Often you do get games where one team either creates the perfect chance or the other team gifts one, I think if there is one team that can take the lead, they ultimately will win it.

  4. Postpublished at 13:51 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

Callum Elder finds Curtis Nelson at the back post with a free-kick but the half-time sub can't keep the ball in play.

At the other end, Jay Stansfield knocks the ball into an empty net but the referee had already blown up for a foul by Marvin Ducksh on Derby keeper Zetterstrom.

  5. 'Blues could easily have a penalty there'published at 13:47 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Blues could easily have a penalty there.

You see strikers go down really easily, but Marvin Ducksch was pulled down there.

The referee has already made a big decision with the sending off of Derby's Joe Ward.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:47 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

Plenty of hustle and bustle, most of it generated by Millwall - but no goals to show for it so far.

Mihailo Ivanovic and Camiel Neghli have had the Lions' best opportunities, with Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton thwarting them. The visitors will unquestionably be the happier of the sides at the break.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 13:47 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

At the other end, Derby defender Matt Clarke has a hold of Birmingham striker Marvin Ducksch's shirt in the area, but the referee is not interested and waves play on.

  8. Postpublished at 13:45 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

The ball finds its way to the back post and Sondre Langas hits a strike which is well blocked by a scrambling Birmingham defender.

Patrick Agyemang then fires the ball across the face of the six-yard box but it evades everyone in the middle.

Game stretched for a minute there.

  9. Postpublished at 13:42 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

A brief, promising spell for Ipswich as Jaden Philogene dances towards the Millwall penalty area, only to lose his way at the critical moment and enable Max Crocombe to tidy up.

Philogene's tended to do most of his best stuff at Portman Road so far, but a moment of magic today certainly wouldn't go amiss for the Tractor Boys.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:42 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

Eiran Cashin looks to feed the ball down the left channel but it is very overhit and goes out for a Derby goal-kick.

At the other end, Bobby Clark muscles his way past a couple of challenges and Blues captain Christoph Klarer receives a yellow card.

  11. 'It's been a nice, lively encounter'published at 13:41 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

It's been a nice, lively encounter.

I think the referee has missed enough things to anger the Millwall crowd so he won't be the most popular.

  12. SECOND-HALF KICKS-OFFpublished at 13:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

We are back under way at St Andrew's

Derby have made two changes at half-time following Joe Ward's red card and Ebou Adams and Curtis Nelson are on for Rhian Brewster and Ben Brereton Diaz.

  13. 'They're architects of their own downfall'published at 13:38 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Brenner Woolley
    BBC Radio Suffolk commentator

You're guaranteed at least two or three defensive clangers per game from Ipswich Town recently.

They're architects of their own downfall.

  14. Postpublished at 13:36 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich aren't really capitalising on the rare occasions they manage to escape from their own half.

Azor Matusiwa releases Kasey McAteer, but he delays too long and Aidomo Emakhu comes in with a timely challenge that brings the counter-attack to an abrupt end.

Meanwhile, Millwall continue to look more likely to score - but they haven't managed to beat Christian Walton yet, with Mihailo Ivanovic going close again just now.

  15. Postpublished at 13:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

One thing you can be certain of when you come to The Den as a visiting goalkeeper is what set-pieces will involve - your penalty area packed with several physically imposing players.

Christian Walton is standing up to the test admirably so far as he claims a tricky Alfie Doughty cross under pressure.

Ipswich will be relieved it's still 0-0 at this stage.

  16. 'You can sense the frustration from the Ipswich fans'published at 13:30 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London

It's been neat and tidy from Ipswich, McAteer hasn't really been into it, you can sense the frustration from the Ipswich fans.

Philogene has been in it a little bit more but hasn't really troubled Milwall.

  17. Postpublished at 13:25 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Chance goes begging for Millwall!

Caleb Taylor plays Camiel Neghli through but the winger squanders the opportunity, steering it straight at Christian Walton.

The home crowd doing their best to roar their side on to that opening goal.

A bit of breathing space for Ipswich as they break and Marcelino Nunez is tripped by Jake Cooper.

Nunez's free-kick is deflected behind and, although the visitors don't seriously trouble Max Crocombe, they'll just be relieved to have lifted the pressure on their own penalty area.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-1 Derby

Patrick Agyemang celebrates giving Derby the lead at BirminghamImage source, Shutterstock

Half-time and 10-men Derby County lead at the break!

The breakthrough came just past the midway part of the first half when the Rams hit Birmingham with a devastating counter-attack.

Rhian Brewster's perfect centre found the head of Patrick Agyemang and the United States international made no mistake to open the scoring via the inside of the post.

Derby then shot themselves in the foot when Joe Ward, already on a yellow card, received a second booking for tripping Birmingham winger Patrick Roberts outside the box after the home side broke following a free-kick for the visitors.

This has been everything you would want from a Boxing Day Midlands derby.

More in the second half, please!
