    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

A beautiful cross from the left by Jay Stansfield reaches Birmingham striker Lyndon Dykes but his header towards Kyogo is well intercepted by Derby's Danny Batth.

The resulting corner comes to nothing.

All the pressure is coming from the home side now.

A corner from the right for Birmingham eventually reaches Paik Seung-ho and his well struck left-footed shot is bravely blocked by Derby's Curtis Nelson from close range.

Nelson, putting his body on the line for his team there.

No place like home? Up until a few weeks ago, not many Norwich City supporters would have shared that sentiment in the slightest.

Seven consecutive Championship defeats at Carrow Road dumped the Canaries into the bottom three and ensured that former boss Liam Manning’s Norfolk homecoming proved to be a brief one.

But since Philippe Clement replaced Manning in mid-November, it’s been a completely different story on home turf, where City have now recorded successive wins over QPR and Southampton.

Allied to solid away draws at Sheffield United and Preston, that recovery means City can finally scent a route out of the bottom three – and that could even be achieved today if they win and other results favour their cause.

Opponents Charlton had begun to slide alarmingly close to that relegation zone following a run of five straight losses, but those concerns were eased by a crucial 1-0 victory at home to Oxford last time out.

Substitute Charlie Kelman returned from injury to score the only goal late on at The Valley, with the Addicks now aiming for back-to-back wins for the first time since October.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:18 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

Derby goalscorer Patrick Agyemang's race is run and on in his place for the final stages is Kayden Jackson.

  5. Postpublished at 14:16 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

First sniff of a goal in this second period as Dara O'Shea's clearance comes to Mihailo Ivanovic and the Milllwall striker launches a volley.

Ivanovic doesn't catch it as cleanly as he'd have hoped, but it's still enough to make Christian Walton scramble across to his right and claw it away.

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

Birmingham defender Tomoki Iwata says why not and has a pot shot from range but it is well held by Derby keeper Jacob Zetterstrom.

Eight minutes plus additional time in this one - this match looks like it could go either way at the moment.

In the Premier League that goal would have been struck off for using hands to score. And the ref bottled it in not giving a second yellow to a Blues player. Derby will feel very aggrieved if they lose this due to a ref losing control of the game.

Oxford United begin life without Gary Rowett after the 51-year-old was sacked as head coach following just one win in 10 matches on Tuesday with the club sitting inside the Championship relegation zone.

The U's are two points from safety and the writing appeared to be on the wall after he replaced former head coach Des Buckingham in almost identical circumstances just over 12 months ago.

Today, United host Southampton in the two sides' first league meeting since April 1988 - a goalless draw in the top flight.

Oxford boast a good record on this special day in the football calendar - winning four of their previous five Boxing Day league games, with all four of those victories coming at home.

Saints, meanwhile, have stuttered most recently under new boss Tonda Eckert, picking up one point from their last two games before Christmas.

They have conceded 42 goals on the road this season - only once this century have they let in more goals away from home in a calendar year - conceding 54 in 2021 in the Premier League.

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

Ipswich have been quite wily when it comes to slowing this game down and Leif Davis, in particular, is taking his time over throw-ins.

It all helps to frustrate the home side, who will know they should have gone in front during the first half.

  10. DOUBLE SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:11 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

Lewis Koumas, who was subbed on in the first half, and Marc Leonard are off and on in their place for the hosts are Lyndon Dykes and Willum Willumsson.

This match is threatening to boil over and there is another coming together between Kyogo and Curtis Nelson with the latter claiming the Japanese striker takes a dive inside the Derby box.

Big 15 minutes for both sides, and the referee, here.

Good afternoon from Oxford United's Kassam Stadium where sacked boss Gary Rowett is still included in the matchday programme.

Despite what it says in the print, he will not be welcoming Tonda Eckert and Southampton today as Craig Short is set to lead the side.

It's a cold and chilly day at the Kassam with a big three points up for grabs.

  13. 'Just stay in the game'published at 14:09 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London

I think from Milwall's point of view, just stay in the game.

They will get a chance, the crowd will get up and they will back the players if they're still in this game.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:07 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

Another yellow card and it's a cynical foul by Birmingham's Paik Seung-ho in midfield.

    Correct decision.

  15. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 14:05 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

A long ball to Ebou Adams is played to Patrick Agyemang and he is hauled down on half way by Birmingham captain Christoph Klarer, who has already been booked.

Klarer is lucky not to receive a second booking and for his protests, Derby boss John Eustace is shown a yellow card.

Moments later, Jay Stansfield and Derby's Sondre Langas are also booked following a coming together.

Breathless stuff at the moment at St Andrew's.

  16. SECOND HALF UNDER WAYpublished at 14:03 GMT 26 December 2025

    Millwall 0-0 Ipswich

Here we go, then - who's going to blink first at The Den?

Neither Alex Neil nor Kieran McKenna have opted to delve into their bag of substitutes just yet.

Don't forget - we have plenty more Championship action coming up from 3pm and we'll be looking ahead to those later kick-offs as well.

  17. 'Christmas is the time for the unlikely'published at 14:02 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

That would have been a much prettier goal from Jack Robinson.

It had some movement and it forced a good save from Zetterstrom.

Christmas is the time for the unlikely.

  18. CLOSE!published at 14:01 GMT 26 December 2025

    Birmingham 1-1 Derby

Jack Robinson, moments after scoring his first, lets fly from distance with a terrific left-footed strike which is beaten away well by Derby keeper Jacob Zetterstrom.

That Birmingham goal has completely changed the complexion of this match.

It was all eyes on the assistant there!

We said if they get one, they'll probably go on and win it, well now's their chance.

It was well over the line.

    Jack Robinson (64 mins)

Jack Robinson scrambles home Birmingham City's equalising goal against DerbyImage source, Shutterstock

It's scrappy but Birmingham won't mind one bit - they are level!

Marc Leonard whips in a dangerous free-kick to the back post and Blues defender Jack Robinson scrambles the ball just over the line to grab the leveller.

25 minutes left and we're all square at St Andrew's. Game on!
