    All over at St Mary's as first half goals from Cyle Larin and Ryan Manning and Cameron Archer late on seal a sixth win on the bounce for Southampton.

    Tonda Eckert's side, who extend their unbeaten run to a remarkable 18 games in all competitions, move up to fourth in the league.

    Blackburn drop down a place to 20th and remain four points adrift the drop zone.

    A massive night for Portsmouth and their Championship survival hopes as they back-up victory at Middlesbrough at the weekend with a fully deserved win over second-placed Ipswich.

    A brace in 120 first-half seconds take the three points with Conor Shaughnessy and Colby Bishop doing the damage.

    Ipswich looked a pale shadow of the side which won at East Anglian rivals Norwich on Saturday and the race for automatic promotion is far from over.

    Pompey now face a huge game at home to Leicester this weekend while Ipswich have a similarly important meeting with Middlesbrough on Sunday.
